If it’s tight (and I think it will be tight) and we finish in the top four, I won’t be calling for Rafa’s head. However, I wouldn’t be completely surprised to see Rafa managing Xabi Alonso (again) at some point in the next two or three years.

Back on topic – Sunderland? Steve Bruce (him with the big head – looks a bit like Jeremy Clarkson’s more handsome half brother) is a good manager. They could do well this season and possibly sneak into the top ten.

I know exactly how you feel mate. Hopefully Rafa pulls some rabbits out the hat because otherwise we will look weaker than last year.



But it's best to see what happens before thinking about writing of our chances.
