Most laughable part is that he obviously is ****ting it that a fully fit Torres for the whole of the season will rip through the Premiership.

The mancs have been absolutely hilarious this season. Some of the things they've come up with is amazing. Apparently now that Ronaldo is gone, they'll be more of a "team" and players like Nani and Anderson will become good.

Rooney is also the most amazingfantasticworldclassbetterthanMessi striker in the world, while we fluked a title challenge (despite having Gerrard and Torres out for long periods )

Also, Owen is apparently better than Tevez, because he's a natural goalscorer and Valencia will get over 10 goals this season, despite scoring only 7 goals in the last 3 years.

Berbatov will also become world class now that Ronaldo is gone, even though the tranny was responsible for 90% of the service he's got, and he was still ****.

            Bizarre.

he's right about trying to replace someone who's the best at what he does. We're in the same situation with Xabi. Need to find another way...

He is full of **** though. Teams will read us better? What a lazy opinion

He does this on the eve of every season - the fact he is slightly more forthright than usual probably indicates he knows that his squad is in transition and the won't be as nailed on challengers as usual.

Do people on here genuinely consider it as a foregone conclusion that we'll see off Chelsea this coming season, and emerge as the biggest contenders to take the title off United?

It could happen. Equally though, it may not. Sorry to go all ballague on it, but i cant really find justification for difinitively choosing us over Chelsea, or vice versa. If i had to stick my neck out, i'd have us as finishing 3rd, but it's very fine margins.

It's not exactly 'obvious nonsense' to suggest that Chelsea *might* be the biggest threat to United.

Chelsea has got a very strong side and will be there and thereabouts. I can see them as our biggest challengers.

It's not exactly nonsense but it is nonsense to dismiss us.

Chelsea and Liverpool are the biggest threats would be realistic.

Chelsea are the biggest threats is nonsense and mind games. Typical Fergiscum.

Possibly, but if he's asked to name who he thinks is THE biggest threat, then it's fair enough.

He's also right that last season was our best in 20 years, and it is therefore a massive ask to try and better it the very next season.
