I am an extremely positive person when it comes to LFC and our players, but Babel has to go....

The boy has no heart, no passion, and needs to be sold asap.....
    Patience goes a long way.....

I was obviously talking about the squad he's in (and apparently plays well for).
The squad evolves every year so in that sense how can you say the team he plays for are ****? Won every game in their group haven't they? Granted not the best group but you can only beat what's in front of you.

The only tournament Babel would have played was Euro 2008 in which he got injured so did not feature and as such went to the olympics. Rafa and Babel have since said this was the reason to his poor start last season.

This year Babel came back in great condition obviously determined to step up and did well in pre season. He had a bad game against Spurs but so did everyone. He and Kuyt in particular were made to look poor due to poor service from the middle of the park - A point also made by Benitez.

He didn't do great and I actually think he played down to Spurs having Lennon on the RW, to help out with Insua in tracking him and to maybe cause problems for their wing. I would have preferred Yossi to start as he deserved it, but I'm not writing of Babel just yet.
      Forwards.......

The point i was making relates to the level they're required to perform at, to gain most of their success. The vast majority of their games are in qualification groups, which are against poor opposition. At that level, maybe Babel performs. But in the Premier League, the level is higher and he's failed to deliver.

So what he does for Holland is of little consequence, because for the most part, he's not required to deliver the goods against strong opposition, like he is for us.

I didnt say the dutch team is ****. Most of their opposition is though.

The point I was making, was that to get in their squad he must be a good player, as there are plenty of good players in Holland that could take his place. Whether he is good enough to be a regular in a top level team is another point completely. But he is not **** as people are trying to make out, though I guess when saying that they mean not good enough to be a regular starter for LFC.

think your post should have stopped there

Problem is, his debut season aside, he HAS been ****e when picked for us.

As i was saying before, in the context of an LFC fan, his performances for Holland mean diddly squat to me. We need him to perform for us, in the PL - and he has shown very little signs of being upto that.

Based on his Liverpool career, he's not fit for purpose.

Ryan Babel couldn't pass a blood test never mind win Liverpool a match or indeed the title.
