gerrard is better playing deeper. torres looks well off the pace. johnson is quality. we need a deep lying forward to play off of torres with gerrard behind. frustrating. but not unpredictable. we've all seen plenty of these type performances down the years. sometimes lady luck gets you out of jail. not today. makes it harder now.

If we'd have won would you be saying the same? He's never been the most creative footballer but he puts his body on the line to stop players and our defence is never the same without him in it.

That's probably a fair to say, yet he still shouts a tad too much, but doesn't back it up sometimes, has a right go at other team mates when he needs to look at himself from time to time, it's just depressing really, oh well bring on the next game (if we lose or draw that it's not looking good, already!!)
