when torres has the touch of a rapsit like he does from time to time and the game is bypassing gerrard, by all means get benni involved but drop gerrard back. he's able to influence a game more.

That was a poor performance today all over the pitch, and we actually deserved to loose. We had massive trouble getting the ball around the pitch, and coupled with poor defending we where bound to loose.

Hopefully Aquilani can improve on this, because Lucas is not showing that he can take on the playmaker role alonso had.

Winning breeds confidence, we're playing catch up, while our rivals have the points and the win despite not playing well, we don't.

How it will effect the race in the long run who knows, but it's not the loss of 3 points that worries me most, it's the way we played, can't afford to play like that again, needs sorting quickly.

It's a carry over from pre-season it seems, so it's worrying to see it continue for this long, needs shaking out of us immediately, or we're in trouble.

              We'll see.

That was pretty bad tbh. Looked like it was our first pre-season game.

Really need to step it up or we can kiss goodbye to winning the league. And it is very easy to say after a performance like todays, but boy do we miss a proper ball playing forward passing CM.

                Onwards and upwards.

It's not the end of the world. We had a very tough away match for a start, the toughest of the lot so we should look at things a little bit in perspective. I think we need another centre forward or someone like Silva (which we won't get) to add that little bit of creativity. Our midfield does not control games like we did before, and at away games it is crucial we do that. We started controlling things as soon as Gerrard moved back in midfield. Lucas and Mascher are a little bit too pedestrian.

no urgnecy in the team and as usual we only up the tempo when we go a goal behind......seems to be a few problems in the team....we haven't had many changes yet were playing like a team assembled on friday night

                        Toothless, gutless, pathetic performance.

Gerrard couldn't convince an angry redneck mob that Mexicans were stealing their jobs today. I want him nowhere near in charge of our game. Lucas was fine today, he was actually one of our better performers.

It was our spine that let us down today, Reina aside.

Carragher, Gerrard and Torres had shockers. You can't do anything about that.

And we should have had two penos late on, one for handball and the other one when Pornovin was pushed off the ball, though to be fair he wouldn't have won that ball.
