Lucas may be limited in a lot of fans opinion but he works hard and gives you everything every game, Babel may be talented by is a lazy tosser who hasn't worked hard or tried a leg in any single game I've seen him play in any position.Originally posted by Nick77 View PostThis is the one thing I cannot get my head around with Rafa. He gives Lucas chance after chance even though for the most part he hasn't looked good enough yet Babel not only gets very few chances (well a lot less than Lucas) & gets played out of position. So I can understand his frustrations to an extent...
Babels best position is miles out of Liverpool. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

rafa hasn't been fair to babel. he was made the scapegoat for the spurs defeat and it wasn't even his fault. there were several others who were equally as bad but rafa has his favourites and no matter what they do its never their fault.
besides we know rafael has a history ofmessing players about.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

It's ironic that this also describes how many people seem to feel about rafa tooOriginally posted by el matador View Postrafa hasn't been fair to babel. he was made the scapegoat for the spurs defeat and it wasn't even his fault. there were several others who were equally as bad but rafa has his favourites and no matter what they do its never their fault.

But not yourself eh? you know better, you know when Rafa is wrong.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostIt's ironic that this also describes how many people seem to feel about rafa too
Rafa decided to sell Alonso, one of the best players on the planet...in your words. And that was wrong in your mind, Rafa doesn't know what he's doing eh?
Give him a chance matey, he's the manager and a bloody good one at that, for Fowlers sake give him some credit, He's done well considering the lack of support from the owners. He wont get everything right but his heart is here and he's proved himself a red.
I see you have also whinged on that his substitute policy is all wrong for no other reason that he doesn't sub players before 60mins
Get a grip, his management took us very close last year, subs & zonal policies included. It's his decisions that will make or break, he who lives by the sword etc
It's not blind loyalty but faith in the leader, without it we are lost.
Constructive criticsm is one thing but you just point out fallibility in hindsight
Honestly though, do you want him out ?

I just have my own mind and dont follow blindly like a sheep and nod like Churchill, that's all.
I'm sure such people also thought Houllier was never wrong. Til he got sacked, upon which point they changed their minds.
No, of course i dont want him out. Where have i said rafa doesnt know what he's doing? Daft thing to accuse me of. Get a grip, indeed. I've never doubted where his heart is, by if that was the crucial criteria, the majority of us should be the manager. Of course, that's silly though.
The sub issue is a simple one and i'll say it again simply:
In life, sometimes one is faced with differing circumstances and as such, it's sometimes beneficial to adapt one's ways in order to accommodate those differing circumstances. That's all there is to it.
You disagree with this and think one should never change how one does things, completely regardless of what's happening in the environment around him?
Fair enough if you think that's the case. I think it's insane. And if you were remotely balanced, you'd see some of the plentiful credit i've posted on here, with regards to Rafa. But of course, you're not balanced on this, you have a bit of an agenda and a stand you want to make.
You're right, it's his decisions that make or break our challenge, and need i remind you that, close or not, we havent won the title. We challenged seriously last year, which was excellent. The margins were so fine and IMHO, some tiny bits of tweaking could've won it for us. But they didnt happen, and that's frustrates me. So sue me for it.
You can have faith in the leader, whilst still seeing SOME decisions he makes as being incorrect, in your own opinion. If you have your own opinion, that is.Last edited by Craig_H; 02-09-09, 10:04 PM.

Babel needs to **** off to ensure he can be **** for Holland next summer.
The only time I've ever seen him show any passion for the game was when he was being a dickhead against Glen Johnson. Babel is the laziest ******* ever to wear the red shirt and I hope he never ever plays for us ever again. Being **** is forgiveable, not making any effort at all is not.

Well it looks like you wont have to slag the lad off for much longer.

Liverpool winger Ryan Babel wants a loan move in January to protect his World Cup ambitions unless manager Rafael Benitez hands him more first-team opportunities.
Babel, 22, admits he would consider joining his old club Ajax if it improves his hopes of inclusion in Holland’s squad for South Africa.
Babel, who has been dropped since playing in Liverpool’s defeat by Tottenham, said:
‘There have been a lot of things promised, but they haven’t been followed up.
'Now we have agreed to review the situation in January.

That's excellent news apart from the fact we still have to pay the lazy *******'s wages for the next 5 months.Originally posted by Shanks007 View PostWell it looks like you wont have to slag the lad off for much longer.

Complete nonsense, we all adapt to change, sometimes for better sometimes for worse. To say I don't is a ridiculous unfounded statement.
And if you think not criticising Rafa on the selling of Alonso is following blindly like a sheep then perhaps it is you that needs to accept that other posters on here have their own opinions that may differ from yours.
