To be slightly serious though, I don't actually think any number of victories now would change anyone's opinion of the "yanks". If we win the league it'll be despite them and if we spent £30m on Villa tomorrow everyone would say its money we should have had all along. I don't think there's ever been as much common ground amongst LFC supporters of all ilks about one issue for a long time.
The problem comes when you start to try to figure out what you can actually do about it without access to a handy £500m.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.
Depends if the papers are speaking the truth or not.
If we get another good signing (i.e., Silva) we're not doing that badly. Sure, it's not what they promised, but it's as close as it get's if you're not lucky enough to drop on an Arab billionaire.
Under them we've shown improvement. Love or hate 'em, they do seem to be quietly achieving some results, even if they're not happening as dramatically as we'd like.
It's far from a dream, but what better is there?
It's OK saying yanks out, but they're hardly gunna give the club away free of charge to a deserving local and pay the debt off on their way out.
We're focussing on the problem because there's no immediate solution. So is there any point?
