Of course it will have to be from loans/sponsors. ( I actually had written a sentence saying I didn't expect it to come from cash, but I took it outOriginally posted by Scratch View PostA stadium will not be built out of anyone's pockets, it will be funded by loans and sponsership and will pay for itself...financing for a stadium will not be a problem, and when the economic situation settles, i think we'll see the stadium plans come to life.
)
But their lack of assets to secure such loans is a worry, as is Hicks' track record from his time at Corinithians(wasn't it there?).--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--

The things is the debt that we were in before the refinancing is about the same debt we would have been in if we'd borrowed the money to build a stadium, we wouldn't have been much worse off than we are now, but it would at least have been in a good cause and of long term benefit to the clubOriginally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostJust like the Emirates. I take it you have noticed how much Wenger has spent on players lately........ From invincibles to winning **** all.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Did Wenger ever really splash the cash without making sales first tho? He has always had a policy of buying cheap and selling rich...Anelka, Henry (ok, £10 million ain't cheap, but for the player he was...wow!), Viera, Toure, Adabayour, Overmars...I think that is just his way, and his big buys have always been few and far between.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostJust like the Emirates. At the end of the day all these ****ing idiots have done is lie.
No debt on the club? Yeah right.
Spade in the ground within 60 days? Errr don't think so.
Rafa being able to buy snoogy ****ing doogy or whoever he wants? Maybe they should have added he needed to make a profit to pay off our ****ing debt they said we didn't have.
Lies, lies ****ing lies.
We don't know what's going on behind the scenes and it's all very well and good saying wait until the window closes before we make any judgements but by the sheer fact Rafa is having to buy a 30 year old Greek journey man as cover at the back for 2mil smacks of someone having no ****ing money to spend.
They are robbing peter to pay paul. You just need to look at how Hicks ****ed over Corinthians to see this. We are no better off now than when Moores was chairman. At least out debt was small and this summer Rafa seems to have got a lesser budget than he did under Moores. We are know nearer a new stadium which is what we need more than anything and what they promised when they took over.
Pair of cunts.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

As a whole they are pretty skint, hence the constant power battles going on in the board room. Stan Kroenke has tried a few times to test the waters with a bid for the club but is always refused. He points to lack of funding as the reason he should be allowed in. The more rooted board members just point to the Glaziers and G+H as a reason they will never sell up. It's well documented that David Dein quit the club because of the lack of funds for Wenger and took the side of Kronke.Forwards.......
