Mark looked quaility when he was playing abroad. Leto spent last year in Greece and he's still there. Surely if he was that great a La Liga club would have picked him up for a bargain £3m?

I believe he'll be playing somewhere else soon. I'm pretty sure there were some other clubs interested in him but I think his first choice was Panathinaikos. He may not be consistent I don't know, as I'm basing my judgement on one game I've seen him play and it was a CL match, hardly a bad level.

I think some players simply can't adapt to our game. Think that's the long and short of it really. Gonzales looked great in the brief time I saw him live, but he faded big time. Leto looked ok too, but has clearly developed abroad. It's a bit of a lame one in my opinion but some folk can't adapt to the Prem. Fair play Sebastien for doing so well abroad, the guy's looking good over there.

gonzalez is now over in Russia.......dont think it was he couldnt adapt. he just wasnt good enough.

Fredo, I tried to post similar after the game the last day but the site timed out and i didnt bother to re-attempt. Leto was excellent the entire game. he was quicker than he ever looked with us, beat the full back with ease, rarely gave the ball away, played some great through balls and his crossing was good. what surprised me most was his set pieces, they were excellent. dont rem that from his time with us? Shame we lost him, looked a better player than what we have on the left at the mo'.

His set pieces were fantastic! He seemed to find some superb angles with his left foot and with so much movement on the ball. He has really impressed me and is a different player to the one we saw at Anfield. If he continues to progress like that, he'll be a fantastic player.

He was young and it was 2 years prior to that. He's definitely improved a lot.

I can't believe how full of **** people are. People are saying "he was never good enough", "his performances were ****" - are these people aware he only made 3/4 appearences for us. He managed to get an assist I recall in the Carling cup and I remember someone on a forum once said that a lot of people at the club (namely Torres) were highly impressed with his crossing/passing.

Leto shone like a beacon in the reserve games. Did very little in senior games but had time on his side. I am confident he would still be here had he got a WP. But he didn't so what difference does it make, whether he becomes a world beater or not?
