Have we sold this guy or has he been sent back on loan for another year because we couldn't secure a work permit for him?

I've just been watching highlights of Athletico vs Panathinaikos and he's been outstanding in that game! This lad has well and truly developed into a very good player and it's just a shame if we've sold him due to not being able to secure a permit for him.

He may lack pace, but he's got a lot of potential.

Was that the first leg when he scored an absolute scorcher? 3-2?

        But yeah we sold him.

Well it's a farce if this guy wasn't allowed to play in England because he's clearly head and shoulders above a lot of players plying their trade in the Premier League. Ridiculous.

Dunno mate, I think that was the second leg, when they were playing away at Madrid. He played a blinder there too.

He was sold because we are skint. We could not secure a work permit for him so he could not have played for us this season. Whilst he has plenty of promise it is better to sell a player who can not play for us than one who could, such is the weakness of our squad.

                    Yes mate obviously.

But the main point was that he couldn't secure a permit and for a player of his quality, this is ridiculous. And £3m is a fabulous deal for Panathinaikos.

They probably remember being called stupid for not giving Mark Gonzalez a work permit first time round. Only to see that after they had given him one Rafa changed his stance to agreeing he was not good enough and sold him back to some Spanish club.

Oi, your first post is not so clear

Anyway, whilst Leto impressed for the reserves he was useless when he got a chance in the first team. He may have improved but there has to be some sort of quality control when allowing players into the country.

                              Really?

Mark looked quaility when he was playing abroad. Leto spent last year in Greece and he's still there. Surely if he was that great a La Liga club would have picked him up for a bargain £3m?
