Aquilani was expensive. I expect him to be able to step up and justify his worth this season - not next. I know he has been out for a while but, at that price, there should be little scope for a whole season of "adapting" to the PL. Hope to f*ck he can stay injury free. Big Benitez gamble imo.Substance > StyleComment

This guy is something special..I think Aquilani is going to allow this Liverpool team to be more like the Rafa's old Valencia team. Fast paced and tearing teams to shreds..
Masch, Aquaman, Johnson, Torres, Skittles, Insua, Gerrard, Babel... There is a lot of pace in this team..
Can't wait for him to get started, might be slow at first but he will definitely prove to a bargain..

Actually, like Glen Johnson, he’s in the enviable position that his skills will stick out like a beacon in an area of the field that we’re lacking right now. So even if he’s only playing at 75%, his obvious attack-minded passing ability and movement will make us a better team instantly.
This is not a dig at Lucas but Aquaman next to Mascherano will raise our goal threat considerably. Just like Glen Johnson has down the wings. For once, we finally have our wings sorted attack-wise (Aurelio, Insua, Riera, Johnson and Benayoun). But then Alonso up sticks and with Gerrard further up-field we’re too predictable again in the middle with Masch and Lucas.One tit for another.
