Aquilani showed more creativity and awareness in his 15 minute Reserves debut than Lucas and Mascher have shown all season. I'm not bashing those two but just stating the bloody obvious that we desperately need his talent in our midfield.

He's certainly looked very promising in his cameo against the Arse.

He definitely has a touch of class about him. Can't wait to see more of him. He could make a big, big difference to our team.

Lucas will be adequate backup to Aquilani. Just as Skrtel should be back up to Agger. I just hope they both overcome their injury problems and get a good run of games as they both have the class you mentioned.

I have to say i'm baffled as to why people constantly pick Riera over Benayoun in there best 11 line up.
Just what exactly has Riera done to deserve a place over one of our best and most consistent players???

Yossi has come on leaps and bounds lately but Riera offers natural left footed width.

Depends on the opposition I suppose..

I'd probably have Yossi in there over Dirk.
