Excellent analysis of the situation regarding Aquilani

You should be on the Sky Sports pundit team with Andy Gray. He talks as much sense as you.

    Made me laugh though.

Well, we may see him in 2010-11 I guess. Ridiculous.

****ing joke. The signing of Aquilani is about as big a farce as the signing of Robbie Keane

Apparently Rafa's saving him for the Everton game and is going to give him a good 40 seconds this time.

Will Aquilani ever get a game !

Why would you bring a player with a history of injuries who is being eased back on for a game on an awful pitch when we were winning? Players were slipping and falling all around the place. If he comes on and does his ankle again, then there'd be people moaning about taking unnecessary risks in a (as it turned out) pointless game.

People need to calm down about Aquilani. When a players been out for as long as he has, you cant just throw him in for 90 minutes week in, week out. I fully expect him to get 30-40 minutes in the next few games. I'm sure that would have been the plan at City only for the two early injuries. I know we're all anxious about him because things are so ****e that we've built him up as the saviour of our season - but there's no put rushing it and losing him for another six months.

Especially after tonight, we financially cant risk long-term injuries to key players if we're going to push on for 4th place.

If I was Aquilani, I'd hand in a transfer request. He must regret signing for us

Why bring him on at all then - As someone else has pointed out , 30 seconds is spiteful.

Give him ten or so minutes or nothing.

He was talking earlier about how Roma always rushed him back when he wasn't ready, so the injury didn't go away. Maybe he is grateful for being eased back in.

Who wants to play these games anyway? Disappointment after disappointment

I'm just wondering how much input Aquilani has had into his rehabilitation and the amount of game time he's had (or at least that he's only been involved as a sub). I remember reading somewhere he said his injury problems were due to Roma trying to rush him back too quickly, and he wasn't able to make a proper recovery
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Well 2 minutes a week is a tad over protective...
