Will Aquilani make a difference?

Obviously he's fit enough to play more than a couple of minutes or he wouldn't/shouldn't be on the bench. I guess the number of minutes he gets depends on the game situation and Rafa's tactics. I was just suggesting it as a possible reason as to why he wasn't starting, which is something alot of people on here seem to be askingThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I've edited again, I so pissed off, with this whole season so far. Decision making from the Directors, to the Manager to the players have been poor right the way through the seasonOriginally posted by Icon View PostHe'll be asking that when he lays awake all night staring at the ceiling.

Well looking at his reaction at the weekend when Aurellio went on before him has blown that theory out the water my friendOriginally posted by Exiled_red View PostI'm just wondering how much input Aquilani has had into his rehabilitation and the amount of game time he's had (or at least that he's only been involved as a sub). I remember reading somewhere he said his injury problems were due to Roma trying to rush him back too quickly, and he wasn't able to make a proper recovery
And while i'm at it . It was a complete and utter piss take tonight , 30 secs from the end ? WTF is that about?.........did Rafa sign him or was it Parry again?................Tonight was the perfect game to start him against a piss poor team ( carling cup material) and he didn't even give him a decent run out , I feel for the lad .Also why is Sammy Lee there? does he have any input? surely he cant be seeing what Rafa see's? surely he should be saying " Wait a minute boss , Do you think it would be better if Dossa sat back down and give a £20 million creative player a sniff "?

I'm just suggesting it as a reason he's not starting games. I don't know the reasons he's not getting more minutes from the bench I'm a big fan of Rafa but I will admit probably half of all his substitutions baffel me!Originally posted by andrewces38 View PostWell looking at his reaction at the weekend when Aurellio went on before him has blown that theory out the water my friend

We used two early subs against City and today was a must win game and we couldn't get the second goal, it would've been a risk to put Aquilani on in either case. As someone said earlier, its the situation that dictated the subsitutions.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI'm just suggesting it as a reason he's not starting games. I fully expect him to start this weekend, being in full training for a month or two now would surely make him fit enough for a 60 minute run out.
Rafa's reasoning is 'Lucas and Masch are doing well' ... We're ****ing losing and drawing consistently, sometimes doing well is not good enough. Every man and his dog can see that we are not creating enough through the middle of the park and Aquilani was bought to do just that. It's a no brainer for me. Baffling.
