At that age, the lad should just be enjoying football with his mates.

    P.S.
Could you use some Paragraphs/Grammar in your posts.
It's not very easy on the eye.

I think you're setting a pretty terrible example to your kids. Watching a programme with Tim Lovejoy in it...
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Would you actually have to take them tonight? Surely you could arrange to have them at a more convenient time.

I knew someone whose son is a Liverpool supporter, but I think is now playing for one of Manchester United's youth teams. I said knew because I haven't spoken to him since. He left to work elsewhere, I'm not just being an awkward *******!

Personally I would rather put my bollocks in a vice than consider for a picosecond that my offspring could be a Manc.

It's about their future not your beliefs, so no matter how much it wrenches and hurts you'd have to let 'em.

He could always let the mancs develop him into the next big thing over the next 10 years then get him to transfer to pool just before he signs as a pro to piss 'em off.

Problem is he could well be an inbred manc by then so it can't be counted on.

However, at the end of the day, their future is one of the few things in life far more imporatnt than football rivalries. So assuming pool said no without blinking I would.

hypothetically speaking (as I have a daughter not a son) I would be inclined not to let my offspring watch any programme with tim lovejoy in it

That's what Carra's dad had to do he was a proud evertonian and now he's probably one of the biggest reds.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I certainly wouldn't entertain it, but I know Simon Rimmer lives in Manchester, as that's where his main restaurant is located, so it's logical for the kid to be spotted by a team from Manchester - or even Man Utd who some from nearby Stretford!

It's more covenient for Rimmer to let the lad play in that sort of a set-up just down the road and, let's face it, the chances of his making the grade are negligible, like 99% of kids who have trials for premier league clubs at that age. If he's any good and still looks half-decent when he's in his early teens he could easily hook up with Liverpool
