        Spot on.

I doubt the journalist said to him "Do you think Liverpool have ****ed up by selling Alonso and blown their title chances?"

It was probably more about Alonso being the last Madrid signing and along the lines of "How important is Xabi Alonso?"

        Nothing story here.

Zero actually. Title means league title, not FA cups etc.

why is it called the champions league title then?

the same goes with F.A. cup when you get crowned champion of it.

Being european champion is a title you can name yourself european champion. etc

You have won the title when you win a competition, where you are crowned champions of it.

They are all titles, but not league titles.

I think we have got a little lost in translation here.

I have noticed a lot of Spanish players (Nando, Pepe and Fabregas for example) refer to a tournament win as a 'title'. So, IMO a title just means a win in either a Cup tournament or a League campaign.

If Xabi and Arbeloa were that immersed in LFC culture as they claimed themselves to be, then they would know that most British journos would put a negative slant on whatever they said and use it as a stick to bit LFC and Rafa.

I just wish Xabi would shut up and not talk about how much he loved it here and all. If he really loved it here that much, he would still be here. He got a great opportunity to play for the most decorated club in his home country and increase his wages also. I understand, respect his decision and wish him all the best for his career.

Whatever may be the reason he left, whether Rafa was the person who initiated his move, I dont care. Bottom line is that Rafa is still here working his balls off to improve this club. Xabi is not. So stop giving statements on a day to day basis about our club. You play for Madrid. Give interviews sucking up to their fans.
