Wasn't it well documented that this lad was injury prone before we bought him?
Incorrect statement I am afraid. He had had only one significant injury before we bought him; the problem was that it took him far fair too long to recover from it. I think the same was true of his metatarsal injury. He simply does not repair very quickly.
I agree...and I think it is nothing like the back problems Gerrard had. Back problems can end careers at very early ages, and he has been struggling for a year or more on and off with this one. The key issue is whether it is muscular (this can be fixed) or structural (surgery can help sometimes).

The metatarsal issue wasn't a healing problem, it was a doctor not noticing that there was a chip of bone stuck between each side of the break issue. Once they finally realized it and removed the floating bit of bone it healed pretty quickly.
The back issue does look like it has the chance of being a genuine chronic problem. Let's hope not. He was out for a while with shin splints too wasn't he?
It's a worry because on his day he's one of the best defenders in Europe.
I suppose it's a good thing that we're not rushing him back though, I'd rather him be out for another 7 weeks now and have him be fully fit when he's back. Better than bringing him back too soon and losing him for 6 months.
Not really, im just angry at ALWAYS having one of our major talents out injured.
Aye, lately we always seem to have at least one of the big players out with injury, lets hope he pulls through ok because we all know what a talent he is.

Speaking of Agger, here is apparently yesterday's training session. He's hardly injured is it? So I bet the initial source might be suspicious to say the least.
