Thanjk you.

Apologies for yet another thread on this, but I want to guage numbers favouring the current owners of the club, versus favouring the previous regime.
Most of us agree, that the current situation is less than perfect, and that the previous situation wasn't exactly fantastic either. But this is not about having a wish-list of fictional fairy-godfather owners who would wave their magic wads of money around. The question is simple:
Is Liverpool Football Club in a better position now under the current owners, than it would have been under the previous regime?
Absolutely Yes!
THe Team is stronger,
there is a business plan in place for sustainable growth.
the right people are in the right positions throughout the club.
All we need now is news on the stadium.
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield
I think Moores is well known for having limited business sense and simply surrounded himself with the wrong people. If he'd have had the business sense of the current regime we'd have never been in the situation we now find ourselves.
But as he was clueless I think it is clear that had we stayed with him we would have never progressed. At least with the current regime we may eventually get to where we want to be, all be it at a much slower rate than we would have wished for.
However I would say the best option would be for Moores to have kept hold of the club and done some digging on Hicks, who by all accounts teamed up with Gillet right at the last minute. After waiting so long to find the right owners there was no need to rush through a deal at the last minute. I really hope the decision still haunts him every day.
That's a fair point, if Gillette had of found a better partner, things may have been so much better.
Gillete may be just as guilty as Hicks, but maybe this alternative partner would also have realised when they are in over their heads and sold up without asking for extortionate amounts (if rumours are indeed true).
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Weirdly, i actually think that Gillett has been the cause of a lot of problems, not Hicks...the stadium quotes, Klinsmann, no debt on club...all quotes attributable to him i believe?
But did Gillett make such an embarrassing home video to broadcast on Sky Sports?
Nah, to tell you the truth, the whole ownership thing bores the life out of me and I only switch on every few months so miss large proportions of what actually goes on.

Difficult to vote this without knowing what 'better position' means. In terms of league stature and challenging, we're better off. In terms of quality in the team/squad, we're better off.
In terms of not feeling secure about the club's future and knowing for certain that the club wont go into administration, we're miles worse off.
It means overall overall feeling taking into considerastion all of the above and anything else you personally feel relevant. It's just a quick straw poll to gether opinion, not a binding contract
Better the devil you know! - there's no guarantee that another owner would have been better than G&H. Yes, G&H have broken promises, but they would have been totally mad (and the club would have been worse off) if they had started the stadium as and when promised, chances are it would be stalled now for lack of funds. Better to wait until the economy improves and then start the stadium no?
I agree, I thought a lot more would vote and mostly anti yanks, I guess it's just a vocal few on here rather than the majority
I don't really see it as a support for the yanks, rather a dismay with how things where under Moores. IMO it tells more about the view of the old regime than it does about the new one.
I voted on the yanks personally because I actually think they have taken us forward a bit and not least on the off-field part. I just can't see us being better off with the old regime, and I am not a blind criticizer of the yanks as some seem to be.
