But it's not as black and white as you make it out to be.
Totally random / off topic, but this forum does often remind me of that bit from Hitchhikers about the Babel Fish...
God refuses to prove that (S)He exists because proof denies faith and without faith God is nothing.
Man then counters that the Babel fish is a dead giveaway because it could not have evolved by chance. It therefore proves God exists, but by God's own arguments God does not exist.
God realizes (S)He hadn't thought of that and promptly disappears in a puff of logic.
"Good" says man, then for his next trick proves black is white and promptly gets run over on a zebra crossing.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
But before people think about replecing him with N'Gog they should remember that we beat Debrecen by one goal. They should then remember that Torres did pretty much one thing all night. And then remember that our only goal came from the one thing Torres did.
I could also point to lack of service, but if he found more space he may have got more service.
As others say, he should be rested midweek for Leeds. He should play against West Ham as that is our primary objective and he is our best striker, even when well below his best. If we develop a lead we find comfartable, he should then be taken off. And that stands for all the games until he starts finding his fitness and sharpness.
You wonder you why rub people up the wrong way sometimes? Basically because you don't agree with something it's absolutely absurd and therefore only people who have the same opinion as you are talking sense.
This is why I long stopped bothering getting involved in football conversations with you.
I feel it's not ridiculous because part of reason for his lack of form could be down to tiredness, therefore the notion of resting him for a game is not at all ridiculous or absurd. As I have previously said I wouldn't personally do so for the West Ham game as like Dave said I feel he needs to play to regain his form. But it's not as black and white as you make it out to be.
