    Kuyt

There are a lot of threads dedicated to certain individuals, so I think he deserves another.

3 goals in 3 games, all of which Rush would have been proud of.

3rd highest goal scorer in Europe in just over 3 seasons.

Capable of playing anywhere in the final third (essential considering our lack of depth).

Amazingly, looks like he’s getting even better this season.

For such a ‘limited’ player he really has made himself un-droppable and it’s testament to him that his quality is now generally taken for granted.

    He's a legend!!!

That period last year and just before where he fell away a bit was because of his Fathers death, at the time people didn't realise how much this affected him, but he;s back now!

Dirk's making me eat healthy dollops of humble pie almost every week. Absolutely love it. I didn't think he'd match last term's tally of about 14 league goals but he's on track already. Didn't think he played very well yesterday in all honesty (I never thought I'd see Rafa take him off as we searched for a winner, it was what I wanted and Rafa bloody well went and did it! ), and he rather stole that goal off SG, but it matters not. His contribution is invaluable, and he even appears to have improved his first touch this season. Sometimes it bounces off him but he's eradicated that too.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He's probably our most improved player over the last few seasons and he's scoring important goals too.

Starting to look the player that we saw in Holland, he's improved his first touch, and seems to have got his poachers instinct back. He'll get 15 league goals this season I think. Glad he's proved me wrong.

Cost me a minimum of 2 fantasy football points. Since when does Rafa take players off before 60 mins?

He's established himself as a key player, which is superb.

When Rafa brought Babel on yesterday, obviously it worked out well but i was gutted to see Kuyt go off because in pursuit of a much needed goal, Kuyt's a player who'll invariably pop up and score for you. He has become an excellent player and he's been consistently delivering week in, week out. He always had the work ethic, but he's added genuine and consistent goal threat. Brilliant stuff.

Because of his poachers type of goals this season it now looks a bit silly that some people including myself wanted Rafa to sign another striker in the summer,With babel showing some promise playing on the right and yossi's form I think Rafa has some very good options re: formation and personel well done Dirk fella

A goal poacher is exactly what we need, and that is Kuyt is developing into (I'm sure he was like that in Holland before though). Every team needs a player that can put the ball in the net from scraps. As great as Torres is (there are none better), I don't remember him scoring one goal in the vein of Kuyt's last 3 goals. This has been lacking from our play since the days of Fowler and Owen.
                  Oh I don't know.

I have always been a fan of kuyt from the start, purely for his professionalism, work rate etc - the latter parts of last season you could see his confidence growing and so far this season the same, his first touch rarely goes up in the air now, he looks sharp and aware of whats going on and I am made up with the three goals he has scored! Poacher, fox in the box type goals that we haven't had someone doing for a while.

We as fans, and prob as a club as a whole seem to put a lot of emphasis on shirt numbers - ie torres is the first worthy number 9 since fowler etc - we have really struggled for a number 7 too and it almost seems to much of a burden for new signings - i do think kuyt has the right attitude to carry the 'responsibilty' of wearing the no.7. - I don't think it would phase him at all.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Dirk is my favourite player! Well above Torres and Stevie for his sheer guts and hardworking attitude. I love him!!!!

It's interesting how often he's getting subbed at the moment though. It seemed like it hardly ever happened in the past.

Of course it may be a fitness thing, like he's carrying a slight injury or Rafa doesn't want him knackered by the end of the season, rather than a comment on how the manager views his recent performances.
                            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I also think it is a comment on how well Benayoun is playing and that he fits the way we are playing at present better than Kuyt. For the first time in a while we have genuine competition for the three places behind Torres which is nice.
