Not for me. No way. I get a rush like no other when Torres scores. I think it’s mainly because he’s our best attacking player and his job is to score goals, and to see him doing so obviously means he’s doing his job. A Torres goal to me feels like how a Fowler goal always felt. Love it
I hate when people say he's limited, he's not in the slightest.
He's a very intelligent footballer, anticaptes well, has a good touch(its improved alot), isn't a bad finisher, his movement is top class as well.
It's been a big turn around for him this last season and a bit, he's made himself undropable.
Has he - I certainly don't think so - he'a a cracking work horse player, but he's got the first touch of a rapist

I think his first touch has improved! it was that bad his 2nd touch was always a tackle - no it's at least his 3rd or 4th touch before he needs to make a challenge
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
What's a "a cracking work horse player"? What does that mean, what other players come into this category?
I would suggest, Rooney, Essien, Tevez as forwards who all work very hard off the ball as well as on it, you always get 100% even if they are playing crap, they never hide.
I have always been a fan of kuyt from the start, purely for his professionalism, work rate etc - the latter parts of last season you could see his confidence growing and so far this season the same, his first touch rarely goes up in the air now, he looks sharp and aware of whats going on and I am made up with the three goals he has scored! Poacher, fox in the box type goals that we haven't had someone doing for a while.
We as fans, and prob as a club as a whole seem to put a lot of emphasis on shirt numbers - ie torres is the first worthy number 9 since fowler etc - we have really struggled for a number 7 too and it almost seems to much of a burden for new signings - i do think kuyt has the right attitude to carry the 'responsibilty' of wearing the no.7. - I don't think it would phase him at all.
In fairness, any player who thinks a number on a shirt is more of a burden than any other number really should get out more. Any fan who thinks a number carries any significance is similarly bonkers.
A number is a number is a number. In the early 60s your number reflected exactly where you played on the pitch. These days they're frequently meaningless.
To take 4 number 7s over the past 50 years, Callaghan, Keegan, Dalglish and Kuyt - all played in entirely different positions on the pitch and I'd bet my last penny that they didn't lose any sleep over the previous wearers of the shirt with that number. If they did then I suggest they would have deserved a huge kick up the arse for being frigging stupid
