It's interesting how often he's getting subbed at the moment though. It seemed like it hardly ever happened in the past.

Of course it may be a fitness thing, like he's carrying a slight injury or Rafa doesn't want him knackered by the end of the season, rather than a comment on how the manager views his recent performances.

Seems like Rafa is trying Babel on the right which I think is his best position.

I'm pleased to see him getting amongst the goals as that was the 1 thing missing for all his workrate.

I don't get to many games as I live far far away so please excuse my ignorance but does he have his own song?

There are a lot of threads dedicated to certain individuals, so I think he deserves another.

3 goals in 3 games, all of which Rush would have been proud of.

3rd highest goal scorer in Europe in just over 3 seasons.

Capable of playing anywhere in the final third (essential considering our lack of depth).

Amazingly, looks like he’s getting even better this season.

For such a ‘limited’ player he really has made himself un-droppable and it’s testament to him that his quality is now generally taken for granted.

Well he's our best replacement for Torres, even if he struggles sometimes on his own. He played very well just off Torres when Gerrard was dropped back to midfield. When Benni plays and sometimes Babel, they swap positions during the game and playing on the left doesn't affect his performance too much.

Not for me. No way. I get a rush like no other when Torres scores. I think it’s mainly because he’s our best attacking player and his job is to score goals, and to see him doing so obviously means he’s doing his job. A Torres goal to me feels like how a Fowler goal always felt. Love it

Dirk Kuyt is just ****ing great. By no means the most technically gifted to ever pull on the red shirt, but where drive, determination, team work and will to win are concerned he is simply peerless, and the epitome of what playing for the greatest club in the world should be about. Even when he was badly out of sorts I always felt he'd come good, now he's added end product to his game he's one of the first names on the team sheet for me.

He's also a very welcome throwback to a different age really, a genuinely humble family orientated guy who has gotten where he has through hard work and dedication alone.

I hate when people say he's limited, he's not in the slightest.
He's a very intelligent footballer, anticaptes well, has a good touch(its improved alot), isn't a bad finisher, his movement is top class as well.
It's been a big turn around for him this last season and a bit, he's made himself undropable.
