Shame about Benni. Are they both injured?
I guess it will be a good game to see how Lucas does holding in the absence of Mascher. I imagine as per everyones prejudices will be confirmed one way or the other

Think we'll still want to go for the jugular on this one, I'd rather we were comfortable before we start resting playersI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Benayoun has been creating a lot of goals lately so we'll definitely miss him, but I think this is the right team to start. Babel has some confidence after his last couple of run outs so starting him on the right is a good chance to tap into that and see how he responds. I'd rather keep Aurelio on the bench, so he can be used for FB or CM if we need to change things up at any point.Originally posted by Fierce View Post----------------------------Pepe

That would probably be my team with the rumoured absentees. For the first time in a long while though Babel is on my list of possibles.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostReina

Mascherano out:
Javier Mascherano is out of Tuesday's Champions League match against Fiorentina with a tight hamstring.
The Reds midfielder was not among the 18-man party that arrived in Tuscany earlier this afternoon and will not be risked in tomorrow's Group E encounter at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
The Liverpool squad: Reina, Cavalieri, Johnson, Skrtel, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Aurelio, Insua, Lucas, Spearing, Plessis, Kuyt, Gerrard, Voronin, Torres, Babel, Riera, Benayoun. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

With all these changes being mooted I can't help wondering if people are getting confused between the Champions League and the Carling Cup.
Or are Fiorentina really that bad?.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Saw LFCTV earlier and that Matt Critchley bloke was in Florence with the squad. He said Benayoun - oddly - didn't travel with the squad but was in Italy nonetheless and is available for selection. Mascherano definitely left behind with a tight hamstring.Originally posted by Deano View Post5 live on the way attributed the tight hamstring to Benni and said Masher was ill !Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
