Didnt think Lucas did much wrong today. His main impact for us comes in a 'getting in the way of the opposition' kind of way, and he did it fine today. Games like this are suited to his role.

Absolutely gutted after the game. Totally and utterly dejected with football right now, so much so that how is this for a post-match knee-jerk reaction - I cancelled my Sky Sports and ESPN subscriptions.
I am sick of how football has taken over me and I think I am going to make a serious attempt not to take it so seriously.
Anyway, back to the game I thought we were hard done by. Drogba is satan and I have finally found someone I hate more than Gary Neville and those twins on X-Factor (you know the ones, Louis Walsh's kids).
Lucas, forgive me for my criticism towards you - it was total humble pie for me today after the way he played today. He was very good IMHO.
Anyhows, 3 games lost and we are somewhat off teh pace, but I think this season will have lots of turns yet. It is far from over in my book.
Now I can look forward to MOTD and trying to watch live footy on the net. **** you Sky.

Lol, its no over reaction mate, I cancelled sky almost 4 years ago, never have I ever looked back and wondered what I am missing. I am better for it, rather than a football lunatic, sky are the whole reason I used to over react, especially with the whole lets turn football into an Americanised drama soap-fest !Originally posted by Tee View PostAbsolutely gutted after the game. I agree on the other point. We've lost 3 games, still only 6 points behind leaders and 4 behind scum. I still believe there will be huge turning points in the season. I'd we win or lose, no draws. Chavs and Utd and Arse and City will all lose more games to come, if not draw them. Were still in with a big big chance, and hell no i've not given up on my team.

Ah - got rid of Sky loooong ago for similar reasons and I could not stand the thought of my money going into Andy Gray or God Murdochs pockets.Originally posted by Tee View PostAbsolutely gutted after the game. Not convinced. I can see al the top teams losing 5 or 6 games over the season. As long aswe are no more than 6-9 points off the top come the New Year I think we can still have a decent shout.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostLots of turns perhaps, but if we've lost 4 games before the halfway point, forget the title."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Why, Utd lost 4/5 last year? I can't remember?, we only lost 2 yet still won f' all. This year no 1/2 or 3 clubs will have a chance to even build up a sizeable lead this year like previous years imo.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostLots of turns perhaps, but if we've lost 4 games before the halfway point, forget the title.

I wasn't as gutted as i thought after the final whistle as i half expected us to get beat.
I was more pissed off with the attitude of some of our players, ie Riera, Gerrard and Torres rather surprisingly. Them three seemed to give up.
It's time for our big players to come good. Particularly Stevie G.Last edited by Marky; 04-10-09, 11:28 PM."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. We haven't drawn any games yet, which was our big problem last season. I can live with losing against the likes of Chelsea away if we can get 3 points home and away against the "lesser" teams.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostLots of turns perhaps, but if we've lost 4 games before the halfway point, forget the title.
