I think that's what has pissed me off the most about the whole thing. As I suggested previously, if it had happened to the Mancs and "Sir Alex" then it would be the biggest disgrace ever in football.

Well we could test the water here. Next Sunday, lets all take a beach ball into Anfield, if Rooney or that little judas c*nt Owen is through on goal we through them onto the pitch. The game has to be stopped for a drop ball and lets see the nations reaction then, hopefully it will also initiate Slur Alex's head to go red and explode.

What grates my balls most about Saturday...

...is that at more or less the exact same time as we got shafted (yet again) by a referee, those pieces of crap from up the M62 got given another goal (yet again) from a piss poor Owen header that was actually going towards the corner flag until Knight intervened!
I just hate how lucky they are & how unlucky we are - yes we played ****e but we almost never get the rub of the green whereas they almost always get the rub of the green.
And 2 make matters worse it's twice now from Owen 4 them - once in the Manchester derby & now against Bolton. Feck I hate them & hope we beat them again on Sunday...

On the subject of the beach ball.

It was thrown on the pitch by a Liverpool fan, then put in the goal by Reina. It has then been blown out by the wind.

Anyone who saw MOTD or football first will have noticed the ball in the goal when Sunderland first ventured forward. It was on Reinas right, or on his left watching on TV.

It then reverts to Liverpool on the attack, and when Sunderland next enter our half and go onm to score, it is out of the goal.

Referee Jones is demoted


Mike Jones, the referee who incorrectly awarded Darren Bent's goal for Sunderland against Liverpool on Saturday, will not officiate in the Premier League this weekend.

Bent's shot struck a beach ball thrown from the visiting section at the Stadium of Light and deflected past Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

FIFA's laws of the game state 'the referee should stop, suspend or abandon the match because of outside interference of any kind', meaning the goal should have been ruled out and the match re-started with a drop ball.

Jones will take charge of the Championship game between Peterborough and Scunthorpe at London Road.

Jones' mistake has been widely criticised by a number of his former colleagues with Jeff Winter, Dermot Gallagher and Graham Poll all stating their surprise that such a basic error was made in a Premier League game.

Gallagher said: 'It was a glaring error and it's difficult to fathom. Even referees in local parks should know that if there is an outside agent on the pitch then you stop the game and restart it with a drop ball.

'When you set out as a referee you learn the laws of the game and everyone should know it.
