    Positives from tonight?

I am as gutted as anyone about the result but I think two players did well. Ngog held up the ball very well at times and led the line quite smartly for someone so young and relatively inexperienced.

Also thought Kelly played well 95% of the time bearing in mind it was his first competitive start, and in the CL.

If they can build on that, maybe there is a glimmer of hope (in the league cup or FA cup maybe )

carra and agger looked 100 times better than carra and skrytel.

ngog showed some promise. a raw anelka.

Martin Kelly. I'll pull my neck out and say he'll be a Liverpool captain one day, and I'll be sure to bump it up when it happens. Can become a top class CB but there's no rush and he's doing remarkably well at RB for now.

      Oh and Daniel Agger.

No real positives. Kelly did okay, Benayoun was our best player by miles, Reina made a couple of great saves. We were totally ****e, I'd be angry if our team was that **** in the Carling Cup.

Kelly and Agger were class. Masher was decent too and Reina, well that lad is amazing.

We need something big, something special to happen this weekend. Them cunts will be loving this, full of confidence and ready to do us big time. Lets not let them do that and turn it around on them. Show the passion, the fire and the commitment we want.

Positives were, Lucas was still rubbish, finally he might be dropped. Come on Rafa show some balls and drop him.

Get Gerrard fit and stick him in the middle on saturday!

harsh. leading the line on your own in a must win CL game with little support having hardly started a game. ****ing hell give him a chance. spearing gets slated, then insua and now ngog. why bother with young players?

We played well in spells. But we must bear in mind that -

Gerrard, Torres, Johnson, Riera and Aquilani. Thats 5 first choice players out injured.

Any club would suffer without half their first team. We will bounce back

Thats the positive. The fact that we are suffering only because we have injures. Its not as if its our strongest team getting beat

Because he isn't good enough. If he was, he would have started Saturday.

oh well lets just shoot the cunt then. never liked the look of him to start with.

i'm all for slating the tart with the pony tail who was coughing his guts up prior to coming on against sunderland as he's a seasoned international who plays without a care in the world. but young players need encouragement. nothing to be gained by getting on their backs. ok they're not fowler, macca, owen or gerrard but they still deserve our support.

You just hit the nail on the head, the young players from our massively invested in academy are not a patch on Owen/Gerrard/Fowler.

N'Gog is not the answer and would not get in any other premiership starting XI. FACT.

Which is why Torres plays poo in some games as he knows that there isn't any competition for places at the club!

Its not so much why bother, its why is a kid our second choice striker.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
