Insua is evidently not good enough.

What other strikers?? Liverpool FC have one striker. Torres. The rest are not fit to be called strikers. That is down to Rafa.Originally posted by red g View Posthe would if there other strikers were injured?????
and you do realise that Rafa has only been here 5 years? and only controlled the academy from this summer? you do realise he wanted change there as he wasnt happy with the way things were going?
we have some superb youngsters that will come through over the next few seasons.

I think that it's harsh to judge Ngog on games like this, he's young and inexperienced, playing upfront on his own in a team that isn't creating chances, most strikers would struggle in these conditions.Originally posted by vonk View PostNGog tried but doesn't have the quality to be in the first team. Needs too many chances to score and his miss was critical.
Two positives: Reina and Kelly. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

sorry pal, i meant if any other teams in the premiership strikers were injured he would make starting 11'sOriginally posted by kingfunk View PostWhat other strikers?? Liverpool FC have one striker. Torres. The rest are not fit to be called strikers. That is down to Rafa.
and actually its more down to H + G i am pretty sure if it was down to him he would have added if he could......
wasnt he allegedly promised 20m + whatever he recouped at the start of the summer only for that not to happen?_____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?

He was awful though. The service to him was rubbish, but I lost count of the amount of times attacks broke down because he passed the ball backwards to their midfield. He should at least be looking to have a go, beat a man. A shocking game by most of the team.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI think that it's harsh to judge Ngog on games like this, he's young and inexperienced, playing upfront on his own in a team that isn't creating chances, most strikers would struggle in these conditions.

It has been rumoured a 4th signing was due to come this season after AuqaLAN, believed to be a forward before the last ditch effort of the greek giant, but the funds failed to appear, this happened roughly the same time we had to sort out the loan deal again. Can't remember where I read that

No worries pal. I think too much money has been wasted on players who have come and gone in all positions, that could have been more wisely spent, rafas signings are like a trial and error revolving door. Take Bellers for example, he is a better striker than the ponytail, kuyt, n,gog, all put together. Crouch? I know people will say that these players did not want to stay because Rafa had his system of gerrard and torres,, ok but why do the other top teams not have this problem? Down to management imo. And we have no ****ing plan B, none.Originally posted by red g View Postsorry pal, i meant if any other teams in the premiership strikers were injured he would make starting 11's

He was up against their whole defence and was often lacking in support. I'm not saying his performance was good, but the conditions made it almost impossible for himOriginally posted by TheElephantMan View PostHe was awful though. Positives:
It wasn't our best team that got beat.
Negatives:
Once again we have been shown that our back up players in the key areas are not good enough. I think they are capable of filling in for the odd game when the team is full of confidence, that was proved last season.
But when we have to rely on them for to long we are simply found to not be up to the task. I can not name one decent team we have played where we have gotten anything form the gameForwards.......

Oh dearOriginally posted by Rafa_el_Gafa View PostYou just hit the nail on the head, the young players from our massively invested in academy are not a patch on Owen/Gerrard/Fowler.
N'Gog is not the answer and would not get in any other premiership starting XI. FACT.
Which is why Torres plays poo in some games as he knows that there isn't any competition for places at the club!
Had you been drinking when you wrote that?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I really fear for us on Sunday and as much as I like Rafa, the buck stops with him. I hope they pull themselves together and earn some respect against the Scum.
I'd give Carra the day off TBH. Calamitiss at present. There, I've said it.
