positives - jeez thats difficult, i will try

    Reina - top class keeper
Agger - another game on the road back to fitness
Kelly - good to see a young lad given a chance, did himself no harm - played to wonderful crosses - first half right footed that i think aurelio should have scored from and second half he cut back onto his left and put a good knock in that created a chance
Yossi - probably the only 'footballer' on the pitch
Ngog - did what he could - all he got was neck high balls fizzed at him - even the likes of drogba would have got ****ed off after a while.

thats the best i can do really - i wouldn't even call them positives - more 'non-negative'
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I thought he went OK but some expect miracles. He had chances but failed to score. Sounds familiar doesn't it. Torres doesn't score and we know it's just a blimp on the radar but if a youngster doesn't score it means he's crap and not fit to wear the shirt (in some peoples opinions anyway).

Pulled off a lovely Babel type back heel trick which showed he was relaxed and enjoying himself anyway.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Which is why Torres plays poo in some games as he knows that there isn't any competition for places at the club!
        Oh my

Firstly, even if you put it in capitals, stating something that is quite obviously utter conjecture and your own opinion as a "fact" does not actually make it one.

Second.... Torres plays "poo" because he has no competition?

        Alcohol, or just plain wumming?

            Cheers.

N'gog has been impressing me more and more lately whenever he plays. Surprised to see posters here having a pop at him when he has only started a handful of games in a red shirt. The lad deserves a chance to prove himself.

Was N'gog any good or not?

There seem to be mixed opinions on his performance.
I was sat main stand and my mate i met after the game was centenary and we both had the same opinion of him

We felt sorry for him - he's a young lad, he has promise, but he was just thrown to the sharks - he was given a thankless task. He did what he could, I counted 10 balls in a row to him in the 2nd half that as i said in above post, were pinged into him and he battled, got knocks, tried and fighted to get and keep possession - but for me thats not the type of player he is - although i am not trying to make the same comparsions - it was like chelsea asking Anelka to do Drogba's job if that makes sense - bully and hassle defenders, bring down impossible difficult balls out the air whilst holding off two defenders with strength and holding it up for support(wish we had that opportunity though ha). He got little or no support from anyone else.

So he didn't play well as such - but at the same time it depends what people where expecting from him -

I half expected him to get hooked tonight but I think Rafa did the right thing in sticking with him. It could have effected the lad's confidence if he was subbed but Rafa should have left Benny
out there, unless he was injured ,which didn't seem the case.

Lucas didn't get blamed for everything which is a huge positive for me. It shows two things: either he's improving or the team is that turd at the moment Agger coming back does look like it has restored some calm and some steel.

Thanks for the summary Mike. Sounds like the lad didn't have much to work with. He's definitely not the most physical striker in the world so playing it up to him like that wasn't going to bring us any joy.

I made a similar point in the match / post match thread. I think it's harsh to criticise him on last nights performance.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

N'Gog is doing exactly what I expect him to do. He is playing at the level which shows he has promise. The problem and reason he gets stick is that he is being started in crucial games when he is clearly not ready.

N'Gog is a player that should be brought through gradually in the league cup games and brought on when we are cruising. He should be asked to keep the club in Europe or in a title race.

Positives. Reina, Kelly, Agger and Benny.

Negatives: Rafa, he gets the credit when it goes right so must take the **** when it goes wrong.

His team his tactics, no excuses.

My only positive: I had a lovely bowl of scouse watching the 2nd half last night.

Secondly, can you provide me with the names of the players Torres is in competition for his place with in the Liverpool side?
