The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

For that, I'll forgive the other wayward shots.

With the strength of, and as said earlier, a lot more teams this year I can't see 90 points being what it takes to become champions, so in that sense we are still very much in it. The win over utd. was crucial though, if we lost it then our confidence would have taken another hit, but now we see a way through.

I think this season could be one of the closest, I think a total of just over 80 could be enough to win it.

            United - 21 Points
            Arsenal - 20 Points

Arsenal were in a similar situation to us. 6 points off the top with United next. They also beat United, but that was the same week we were robbed by Spurs.
            Surely this cant be right?

Im sure we dropped more that 4 points in our first 10 games last season?

After 12 games scum had 24pts ........no reason why we shouldnt have the same with a trip to fulham and brum at home, win them and we are right back in it and when you consider there is also chelsea/scum and Arse/tottenham coming up good chance to claw some points back

But it was there 11 straight wins from boxing day onwards that won it for them.

we can do something like that if we click into gear like we did last season. if we start that kind of run again now or in january rather than at the end of march then its ours to lose

IF we can go on a run of 10 out of 11 wins like last season, i cant seen any of our rivals having enough quality to stop us.

Iv got all that pre-season optimism back after the manU win!

Thing is, our rivals will be thinking exactly the same. A good run of form and a team could really pull away in the race for the title.
                          Forwards.......

Post match threads often become fairly large over a period of days but its the speed with which they fill with ****e after a bad result that gets me.Constructive debate is fine, narrowminded badly thought out bile/abuse is not.

someone quoted me yesterday sayin people where prob out celebrating, maybe true but I'd just wish they find a reason to stay off here after a defeat too.Calm down before posting and you're less likely to post ****e.

That said as others have mentioned certain people are only around after a bad result.

Like I mentioned the words of you'll never walk alone are just that to some people, words. They fail to get the meaning behind those words.
