And Rafas Aspergers like celebration given the atmosphere. stunning. But then he wouldn't want to be accused of rubbing Fergies nose in it, would he. That would disrespectful.

Does anyone know how many points the scum had at the same time last season?

I remember a lot of people (and myself somewhat) had almost written them off at one point. But to me it looks like the PL will be won with less points this season than the last. Many teams have improved, so more points will be dropped.

4 in front of us, about 90 I think. But whilst some teams have improved, Villa and Everton (who finished 6th and 5th) have got worse IMO. Villa will finish stronger than last year due to not being in Europe, but the Villa of the first half of last season was much better than this one. They haven't replaced Barry and Laursen with similar quality.

I do think that more and more teams seem capable of taking points of each other, just look at sunderland, wigan and burnley etc. I think man city and spurs have overtaken villa and everton who i agree both look weaker, but even those two are still capable of getting a result ie villa against chelsea.

Hopefully we get a run of wins in the league, aquilaini hits the ground running and we get ourselves into some kinda position to have a serious challenge from xmas onwards. I really hope we are say within 6 points by the turn off the year and we some how get the chance to bolster the squad with another attacking option, we get lucky with injuries, and we push on from there.

After 10 games I have it as:

                        Us - 26 Points
                        Chelsea - 23 Points
                        United - 21 Points
                        Arsenal - 20 Points

Arsenal were in a similar situation to us. 6 points off the top with United next. They also beat United, but that was the same week we were robbed by Spurs.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Completely agree, he should be banned from shooting. Its just a total waste of possession every time he just runs forward and launches it over the bar. The last time it works was about 3 years ago I think against Reading. Even if he managed it once every 18 months it still wouldn't be worth it. Just ****ing pass the ball to someone else from now on please Mascher

One shot hit Rio up the face though, knocking him over.

For that, I'll forgive the other wayward shots.

I only agree to some extend. Villa have gotten a bit worse because of Barry, but I think they replaced Laursen quite well. Everton is about the same to me.

The difference this season to me is that teams in mid table have gotten stronger and takes more points away from everton and villa this year. Overall the league is stronger, and I believe that it will probably take less points to become champ this year than the last.

Cool, so we are 8 points behind ourselves last year and only 3 points of the scum who became champions. That goes to show that its far from settled.

With the strength of, and as said earlier, a lot more teams this year I can't see 90 points being what it takes to become champions, so in that sense we are still very much in it. The win over utd. was crucial though, if we lost it then our confidence would have taken another hit, but now we see a way through.
