I could see it - I think we could be well advised to play people into form and understanding. That looks a pretty solid team and both fullbacks and Agger could do with games in a settled unit (you could arguable add Carra to that list and he has often played more in this type of game in previous seasons than you would expect).

That team will get battered. Especially on the flanks.

Is it true that Lucas has swine flu?

And I agreee that team will struggle against Arsenal.

I think there's a strong case for putting out a decent team.

            1) we haven't won **** all for years now, I don't think we're good enough to win the league or CL this year. thats leaves the FA cup and if we get a tough away draw in that it could all be over for another season. I'd rather win this and come 4th than win nothing and come 2nd.

            2) another strong performance would keep the momentum going after the utd result.

            3) playing lots of fringe players together doesn't seem to bring the best out of them. Introducing your spearings & ecclestons alongside gerrards & mascheranos is fairer on them. You'd hope they'd raise their games. Hard to do when the other players around you are ****.

            4) Voronin should never set foot anywhere near our first team.

Yeah i'll be a bit pissed off if it's a really weak side we field.
Would like to see the likes of Johnson, Carra, Agger, maybe Lucas and Aurelio playing as it will give us a good deal of experience.

Would rather rest them for the coming games. Come off a tough game on Sunday where they ran all over the park pressing the Mancs.

Agger has previously been out for ages and Johsnon only just made the Manc game. Carra has played in every game and needs a rest. It would not be wise to play any of them, unless this competition was a priority.

It would be nice to win this competition, but not at the expense of a title race.
                Forwards.......
