Lucas and Fabio Aurelio named in latest Brazil squad.

Both named in the latest Brazil squad, a 24 man squad that will take on England in Quatar, from the official website.

Great news for Lucas who continues to be involved, but especially so for Fabio, this being I think his first inclusion in a Brazil squad. They have problems at Left Back so if he impresses he could yet make the world cp squad for them, if he can stay injury free that is.

How good would that be? First choice left backs for Brazil and Argentina fighting it out for a spot in our first team!
    Forwards.......

IIRC Aurelio has been called up before (maybe for a Copa America) but got injured. Assuming his bad luck deserts him this time that is excellent news.

      When is this match?

I thought Aurelio had some sort of involvement before, olympic or something?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Just wondering... why is it "great" when our players get called up for Brazil and Argentina for example, yet generally we hate our players playing for England?

          That's hard to believe.

Traditionally Liverpool players aren't treated with the same kudos as London based players or even Manchester United players. Glen Johnson is a casing example. John Barnes who was one of the best in the world in the late 80s was pummeled.

I'm not English, so can't really comment. But I'd imagine that when the likes of Gerrard or Owen got their first caps, people would have been pretty excited. It's when they become regulars, it becomes a pain in the hole.

And besides, it’s always nice to see our underrated players get some International recognition.

Aye there are elements of both no doubt. Just something that occurred to me really.

Yeah, i'm happy for Fabio that he's got the call-up but the overriding thought in my head is... "****, that'll be another unavailable player when he comes back from international duty and doesn't have time to prepare for the next game."

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Bad for us but good for him.

And whilst it can effect him after internationals, just think how happy he will be no doubt how eager to continue to impress Dunga.

I guarantee he'll have an extra spring in his step.

Tell that to Dossena, our resident Italian International left-back. Where the **** is he these days?

I was laughed at in pre-season when I predicted they would both make the World Cup squad. Even if they still don't I some ammo to counter-argue with.

Not in the Italian team, hence is value has been reduced

But since you asked, likely to start on Wednesday.
