Can I just say again what a clueless cliche spouting muppet Steve Claridge is. R5 sounds more like TalkSport 'LET'S SHOUT BOLLOCKS' every time I tune in.

Everyone does sadly & that is no slight on Ngog, who is doing well for a kid.Originally posted by BubbaZanetti View PostI thought we lacked decent support for Ngog upfront - we had Babel & Voronin, they had Eduardo & Nasri. Had we better internationals up top we would have won tonight. If Senderos hadn't got away with his handball we may well have won.
Arsenal have better reserve strikers. That's all.
Anyway, I'm off to bed now.

was this because he was asked to or just because he got himself tangled up again?Originally posted by Reece View PostHaha yeah I was about to say Kuyt was our best defensive mid tonight
Near the end he ****ed around and gave them the ball back. Take Torres goal on sunday, he almost ****ed that up and miskicked it to Benni. I love his effort & desire. I hate his lack of quality.

sorry mate, cant agree with you about plessis, he looks elegant on the ball but does nothing with it, very negative mostly playing the ball backwards.Originally posted by reds123 View PostI thought Plessis had a good first half. Remember that midfield is not a full back and for a 20 year old midfield it's very difficult. Plessis also has a good passing ! I think he' s better than Spearing from what he showed.
has for spearing he loses all positional sense when defending and does horrendous shots from long distance every time.

One game mate -seemed like a longer term comment- also just seem like there are some comments creeping in on a wider basis.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Posthe was **** tonight. so i for one have given him a slight 'bashing' based on this performance. It is allowed.
not sure he works well out there without a real threat through the middle.

He also offered great relief up front and was nearly always covering for Spearing/Plessis. All this while needing a break. I think the moaners on here should give him one.

Aquilani was class from the short amount of time he was on, got great vision and already you can see what he is about.
The defence of Arsenal was at times very shaky though, decent going forward otoh.

Kuyt shouldn't be played on the right in a 4-4-2.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Posthe was **** tonight. so i for one have given him a slight 'bashing' based on this performance. It is allowed.
It's not a role he is suited to. I think this effected his performance tonight.

Wow, this 5 live stuff is completely crap. What game were they watching? I though we were the better team in the second half. If we had taken a chance of two we'd have won that and then what would they talk about.
Aquilani, Degen, Plessis, Insua and the Greek were good tonight. Voronin did well in spells. Babel is a waste of space, but what had happened Dirk? Poor tonight.

Never been so pleased about a game despite losing. Aquilani showed glimpses of real game intelligence in the reserves match, but I put that down to playing at a slower pace. But tonight.....woooooo......he hardly moved yet was everywhere on the pitch. He just jogged into a position and he was immediately involved in some way. Hardly made a tackle yet dispossessed more Arsenal players than Spearing/Plessis combined.
My wife's got some job tonight having to cross her eyes. :-)
