The only way to cope is to hide myself from footy completely.

This year sucks, 2 big accidents, lost my job a week ago (after 11 years) and LFC are going backwards after such a great season last year....

I need some good news for a change.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

There are little or no neutral journalists out there, so why anyone would pay any heed to some of the ****e that's written is beyond me.

The knives have been out for Rafa for a good while now, the journalists will be lapping this up, so the best way is your way Shaggy, ignore them.

Oh, to anyone that was at the game, and took part in YNWA when we were losing, I SALUTE YOU.

Tough break mate. Hopefully LFC can provide you with some good news on Wednesday with a win in France.

Supporting a football club is never easy, if it was it would mean next to nothing when the good times came around. When we lose, it hurts. But when we win, it's great.

LFc have based the whole club on the tradition of shining in adversity, and hopefully this season they can provide us with a few more examples. What ever stats the media and others come out with, it has to be remembered that they are not set in stone.

I remember when every team at the bottom at xmas got relegated, then West Brom did "the impossible" and stayed up. Nothing in football is impossible, just highly unlikely.

It is unlikely we will win in France and save our skins in the CL. It is highly unlikely we will win the league. But it is not impossible.
        Forwards.......

No mate. The best way is to read them all, and I hope the players do. Because they should be used as motivation to prove people wrong. I read every bit of ****e pedalled before the Man Utd, and the victory was all the sweeter for it. And after that feel good factor, I went and read some of it again, to bring a wider smile to my face.

A victory when the chips are down and the odds are against you is always better. Read the papers today. Just don't take what they say as fact. Then when we do find success, remember those comments and feel really good about yourself.

I haven't read anything in the press today. Pretty pointless IMO. We are good enough to judge things by ourselves, not by reading a journalist spill his bile against our manager.

I don't need any motivation form some no-mark journo spouting bile, when we win i know they are sad, that is enough.

I refuse to buy papers anymore, they have far too much influence and power imo, and are full of tripe in the main.

The ecstacy felt when lfc are doing well can't be enhanced for me, it's just that..ecstacy, the pain is equally bad when we lose or go through a bad patch.

Lfc is an institution, far bigger and better than any rag and it's writers, they just don't matter, if more people ignored them, football would be all the better for it imo.

These kind of comments suggest that rafa knows he's on the brink.

Have to say if he said that I am not impressed what do other people think ?

I understand the need to improve the team but Rafa mentions increasing the value of the club!!!!!!!!

His job is to win trophies,
We simply exist to service our debts, Rafa is just echoing the sentiments of the owners.

It's time as fans Benitez heard the voices putting him under pressure. IMO Benitez feels like he can continue with little jabs with the owners because he has the fans' backing. With poor result after another, surely the owners aren't the only party to be blamed on this matter?

We are only nine points off the pace, but this is football…

We win 4 in a row, the chavs lose 2 out of 4, and suddenly we are 3pts off the pace…

What is what I find amazing is that people on here do not think the chavs, mancs otr any of the others will lose!!!!

The mancs lost 4 games last year, 5 each the 2 years before, and the chavs lost 5 the year before that…

Now it is not ideal that we have lost 5 already, but if we do not draw any games, then the amount of games we have lost will become a moot point…

We could still lose another 5 games, and still win the title with 84pts…

All is not lost yet, and as dire as the situation seems to be, we can still come out of this smelling like roses…..

The chavs, arse, mancs citeh, villa & spurs will all lose at least 3-4 more games, maybe more, we just have to be around and in form when they do….

I understand your frustrations, but sacking Rafa is the wrong option for me, especially when things are not a bleaks as they seem...
                            Patience goes a long way.....

There are a lot of "if's" in there mate.

At the moment we don't look at all like we could win 4 games in a row, and Chelsea certainly don't look like losing 2 games out of 4.

Still don't want Rafa sacked but. Yet. Despite my initial response when emotions were high.

Mid season sackings are non productive and just make things worse.

End of season though? We'll judge then.

And that stuff is never productive. Morale being even lower than it is can only make things worse.
