Don't understand the loathing of Mourinho. I think he pissed every opposition team off only because he put in a siege mentality at Chelsea. Sure he was a media whore but I could give a **** what the manager did as long as he got us playing on the pitch, had enough stature to keep Torres, Gerrard and Pepe, and won us number 19. Opposition fans hate Ferguson too. Do you think scum fans care?

Rafa will not be here forever. He may not be here next season. Getting rid of the owners is the priority but on the pitch we are poor. My preference is

I absolutely venomously detested Mourinho when he was at Chelsea, but have strangely warmed to and actually come to miss him since he left. His cheek-sucking posing irritated the **** out of me, but what I really hated was the sheer unfair wealth at his disposal that in my eyes made him a spoilt brat who sulked when it didn't buy him everything (e.g. a place in the 2005 Champions League Final). Like yourself, I've since come to see the extreme loyalty and warmth that lay behind his siege mentality and see it as something we need at Liverpool. I desperately want Rafa to turn things around and agree he has a good few monumental obstacles to contend with all the time, but at the same time I find it hard not to grind my teeth at the **** players he has bought and his often insane tactical and substitutional decisions (I also find his alienating Alonso hard to forgive). If he were to go (something I don't want to happen, but which seems more and more inevitable) we would need a big personality to replace him, and one proven in the Premiership, and I imagine I'd enjoy Mourinho winding everyone up if he was ours.
