btw. that was intended for a lot of uncalled bashing of Babel in the match thread this weekend...
    Uncalled?

The bloke is an utter ****. He does nothing but whinge and run into people....with the odd long range belter thrown in for good measure.

The sooner he leaves the better. He can't play football and he can't rap...he might as well kill himself

never felt as sorry for a footballer as i did for babel at the weekend. not only does he suffer a twisted ankle and means he couldn't play on on a day when he was finally given a chance, but now all the so-called lfc fans stick the knife in with bashing his name on here today. the man has talent. the man is still just a young lad tryiong to make it as a footballer at one of the biggest clubs in europe. everybody gets slated for bashing lucas when it's plainly obvious he is utter ****e. babel on the other hand is right in what he says. he was voted biggest talent of the year 2 years ago then for some unknown reason he gets squeezed out of the team. i feel gunuinely sorry for him. he will be a world beater of that i have no doubt.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

i genuinely think the problem here is that he fails utterly to grasp what's going on. i agree he has the talent to be an immense player, but he just hasn't been able to concentrate on his game. he just doesn't play like he understands the club, or what it means to play for lfc. he seems to ust be enjoying that football lark, innit.

World beater There is absolutely no chance of that.

If Babel did really say this and it hasn't been distorted by the media, then he is getting thicker by the day.

i baffles how people can be so closed minded over this. just because you think the guy is a **** dont let that cloud ur mind over his talent. everybody i talk to about lfc agrees on 3 things.......firstly we are way too reliant on ste and torres........secondly lucas is utter garbage......and thirdly we dont utilise babel as much as we should. other teams rate him and quite rightly so.

generally, being thick as pig**** doesn't generally hold back your football career, but ryan babel is finding new ways to fail.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Babel's problem has never been his 'lack of talent' or skill, he just cannot adapt to Rafa's tactics and is way too inconsistent to warrant a regular place in the team. If only he had the ability to recognise his failings and work hard trying to improve but alas, he just basically can't seem to grasp the logic of it.

Can't believe footballers aren't scouted on their IQ quotient.

Babel is too lazy to play for us.

I think the ain problem with Babel is that he is either too greedy or he is unaware of what is going on around him. Almost every time he beats a man you know he has already decided he is going to take the shot on, regardless of whether or not there is a player open in a better position or how difficult the shot is. It's like he's always going for personal glory, in fairness it works occasionally (the goal in the last champions league game) but probably 70% of the time he takes the wrong option.

If he could improve his decision making he would be a much better player

It is not laziness, I think he fooled most of you. At least he's good at that. If you look at Babel closely during matches, you'll see that he is completely clueless at what he should do with the ball when he's got it, or how to position himself and create space when he hasn't got it. He always takes the wrong option and ends up in blind alleys.

His goal against Lyon was the more exceptional as his run wasn't good at all, as he drifted infield and he was close to getting outnumbered, then he lashed it and scored a great goal. His lack of celebration after his goal simply showed that he was lucky to score.
