There's not a chance we concede that goal if Sami was playing. He would have cleaned up. Soft, soft goal.

Lyon have won the group. Why would they send anything other than a reserve team to Florence? I think you will find we are out of the Champions league.
Eh? The Fiorentina game is last. If they lose in Florence Fiorentina are top of the group and will play Liverpool reserves last. Think about it before spewing rubbish.

I ****ing hope it does change our league form!

My apologies. That's a total seal of approval, isn't it? Sorry again. You got me .
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

My apologies, I thought Fiorentina was next. You are correct.

At least we didn't lose so its a step in the right direction LOL.

Seriously though our team has been devastated by injuries this season. But the main factor is that our summer transfer funds were slashed to pay the debt.

Hopefully this is an eye opener to hicks and gillett that if you don't strengthen the squad enough you suffer. Now as a result of not signing enough players in the summer they are going to miss out on the CL money and we may not finish in the top 4.

I guess all football sites are like this, people tend to type and vent spleens without really considering what they're saying. I think, least I hope, that lots of us will possibly consider some comments to be OTT when reading back. Maybe

Anyway. We utterly spanked them, we did absolutely everything but score enough goals. And yes of course thats the main thing we need to do, but still

I thought Mascherano was immense, and Lucas wasn't far behind. Both played very well indeed

Yossi doesn't do what he's best at on the left wing, and Insua seems far less confident with someone that doesn't track back in front of him

For me, Rafa got it spot on from the start with the exception of Voronin. I've been trying to reason, but I can't fathom why he wouldn't have Yossi behind Torres, when the alternative is Voronin. To be fair to him, the glaring miss aside, he played pretty well. But he doesn't have the creativity that Yossi does, and with Babel causing problems on the left, he would have even more room to exploit that trickery

I don't think it was massively important, but I'd question why Torres got subbed 5 mins to the end. Surely 5 mins isn't going to affect his fitness?? Slightly strange

Overall, monumentally gutted. So frustrating. But I genuinely and without bias don't believe we deserved to lose that based on our performance

                    Still
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Torres was totally spent, we needed Ngog's fresh legs.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Comparisons with 2001 are desperate. We hadn't made it into the Champions league and were slowly on an upward trajectory. The psychology of going from the CL to the "europa" cup is totally different. It could actually undermine confidence.

You're prone to more injuries when you're knackered and he was completely gone.

Winning matches makes morale go up, it doesnt matter what competition.

He wasnt completely gone imo, could see by the look on his face he felt he could still do a job and looked gutted to be subbed.
