Even if we did 'change' the name of the stadium this and the next generation of fans would still call it Anfield.
It would only be called something different in the media
I'm sure SimonNo7 is making a point worthy of discussion in his actual post, however I find it impossible to to take this thread that seriously because of its title.
We should NEVER EVER EVER do "what Newcastle are doing". In any way.
Replace them with "Arsenal" and you have a thread.
Football is now about money and keeping up with other clubs - Liverpool, and everyone else, will sell their naming rights.
Unfortunately that's true, but to be fair the new stadium will actually be next to Anfield, so in that sense u couldn't really call it Anfield either could u?
