    Reserves vs Hull

Just watched the second half of the reserve game against Hull. Pacheco, Amoo and Ecclestone tore the Hull defence apart, especially Amoo and Pacheco was impressive. Also Ayala looked a head above the others in defence. A 4-1 win, goals by Amoo, Ecclestone, Saric and Amoo again, Hull scored a pen after Martin Hansen brought down one of their players. Good second half, top of the league

Oh, and Amoo reminded me of Glen Johnson, fast, strong, took players on, he might have a future this one

I was thinking of starting this thread this afternoon, but was feeling too ill and depressed to really do it.

        Good result!

Fair Play To the new man he has got them playing really well at the moment I think thats 8 straight wins and the usual suspects ( Ecclestone,Pacheco and Amoo) are amongst the goals long may it continue , I just hope we dont over hype them and they end up being fast tracked to the 1st team then slated when poor form kicks in ala Insua. I think Rafa has a plan with these lads and the Likes of Nemeth and Dalle Valle ( If thats how to spell it).

Not Forgetting that Rafa has just started his work at the academy and within a few years we can produce the youngsters that Wenger is now doing

If Spearing can get on the bench in a packed midfield, surely Pacheco can get a look in up front.

Young Spanish unknown quantity, looking to impress.

Another good result for the Ressies

One thing though, wouldn't tonight have been another opportunity to give Aquilani a 30 min runout to improve his match fitness?

It does make you wonder what are Rafa's thoughts on this.

The lad needs games and minutes but WE don't know his recovery situation.

As fans, we just see a 20 mill Xabi replacement sat on the bench.

Think he may have done had he not been on duty with Spain.

Whilst it's realy encouraging to see the youngsters doing well, the idea that we should have half a 1st team of these kids should be countered with seeing Ayala doing OK but looking shaky next to carragher and that when Lucas plays for the reserves he looks like Kaka.

Anyone ever heard of any of the opposition in that Hull team? No, not quite Toure and Lescott are they?
