My friend and I are having a competition to see who can put together the best home cinema system. We have both been given £1,000 to sepnd in order to do so. The problem is my friend already has a fantastic surround sound amplifier and speaker package so he can spend all £1,000 on the TV alone. My old hi fi is knackered so i need to replace eveything. This means my system turns out to be inferior to my friends.

After 1 year the cheap tv i bought blows up so i have to replace it. Luckily i have saved £300 so off to the shops I head. The new TV slightly improves my system but unfortunately it is still not as good as my friends. Even less so as he has just gone out and spent £300 on a new subwoofer.

My friend and I have both spent £1,300 since we started competing but his is still miles better than mine.

Not buying a quality striker and a quality CB cost us the season, and I hold G&H responsible for that. We bought a CB who's nowhere near the quality required and we ended up relying on N'Gog to bail us if Torres is injured. He's not a bad player, but it's too much for him at this stage.

That's two players that could have made this season very different. Look at how **** our defence is.

Is that a 4th quality centre back to sit on our bench or are we selling one of our other 3 uber CB's?

Again, last year everyone was moaning that Raffa only buys CB's and CM's, we lose one to retirement but now he fubar'd because we dont have enough of them, oh yeah and he should play the kids too. ?

Fine, let's go with the net spend of zero thing, ignoring new contracts etc. We shouldn't be considerably worse than last season. Out squad is full of mediocre players, and not just cheap players. For the money spent on babel, riera, pennant, kuyt we should have at least one player who can offer decent width In midfield but we have nobody. This is not acceptable.

I didn't read it that way at all tbh, possibly because I was too busy pissing myself.
