Should Rafa be replaced by Guus Hiddink?

I've just read stan collymores latest article titled Why Rafa and Mark Hughes should beware the shadow of Guss Hiddink..

    <html>http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/stan-collymore/Why-Rafa-Benitez-and-Mark-Hughes-should-beware-the-shadow-of-Guus-Hiddink-article229383.html</html>

Now I'm not a big fan of stans column most of the time be write complete rubbish, but has he finally written something worth thinking about??

Now i'm not one of those fans that has been on Rafa's back for ages, I have never posted a negative word about him on here before, I always defend him when talking football with my mates, but this season is becoming a nightmare, from the hope in early summer that we could mount a serious title challenge this year to one win in 10 games...its really getting me down!!

I believe in the Liverpool way of supporting the manager, I think a manager should always get a fair crack of the whip, I laugh when newcastle and real madrid change managers every 6 months, but have we got to the point where a change is needed?? I've read all of Paul Tompkins writings and the piece when he met Rafa really gave me hope, but I don't know what to think now.

Something is fundementally wrong, I don't know what it is, ok we have had really had injuries, rafa has had to make do with limited funds, but we seem to have taken a huge step backwards from last season. Now I know we are missing Alonso, for which I don't blame Rafa, Alonso had 2 bad seasons before last year so he was right to look to sell in 2008, and on the back of that I think Alonso had decided he was going to go, he did us a favour in playing so well and pushing up the fee though...

Hiddink, he did a great job at Chelsea last year, he took someone elses team and turned their season around. I think he would do a good job at Liverpool....but at the same time I like what Rafa is building...the squad is so much better than when he arrived, he's sorting out the academy finally....help!! I don't know what to think anymore...if we get knocked out of the champions league I think the question seriously has to be asked...not sure what the answer should be though...should we wait until summer and decide then? Would it go against the liverpool way if we sacked Rafa now??

No we shouldn't replace Rafa with Hiddink!

Yes we are going through a bad patch at the moment but things will improve! A new manager means a squad overhaul (sooner or later) plus a large pay out for Rafa and replace him with a manager that is about equal in ability. We don't have the finances to do that, stick with Rafa!!

or maybe we should go for McLaren because he also failed to get a favourite to the world cup finals.

Hiddink has to be the most overrated manager ever. ****ing hell.

Dont get me wrong, he's clearly very good and what he's done at PSV was amazing but what else has he done? Failed in Spain and done well in a few national jobs?

I wouldn't be surprised if France go for him.

                        Boring, boring, boring.

Rafa won't be going anywhere. Even if the powers at be wanted shot of him they literally couldn't afford to. End of.
