A liverpool fan that doesnt believe that Purslow is as bad as made out till proven otherwise
ie Torres is sold next week
Don't let your judgement be clouded by whether Torres stays or not mate, the problem is much deeper than that. Ask Torres himself, he may have a longer and more accurate answer.

Indeed, especially as he was locked in talks with Purslow for days and still opted to stay (allegedly) so maybe he knows something beyond all the rumours?

Purslow needing that long to sell his plans to him is enough to fill me with dread mate.

You have cried since Rafa failed to do his job and was given the boot.
I doubt anyone would expect to see anything different from yourself.
On Pacheco, it doesn't look good. If he doesn't want to stay I do wonder what options are available to us. To expect him to get games in our current first team is foolish. He looked good in the reserves and good in the U19's, but that's a totally different level to the Premiership.
I'd be down with keeping him and giving him the odd games, but it seems his heart is set on regular football. Ideally he would sign a contract extension and could then be loaned out.
But I do not know how long he has left on his deal and if he'd be willing to sign another.
It's turning into another Insua situation I think and I have to wonder who is at fault for not getting promising players tied down to long term contracts.

According to rumour there was more to it than the club's future, there was also something to do with Torres not being happy with image rights. Again, that's only rumour so who knows what they spoke about.
Proof will be in a few days time when Torres returns to Melwood and talks to the press.

Why did you feel the need to post this crap? If you want sensible discussion (I'm sure I've seen such concerns by none other than yourself not so long ago), then try to act as such in the future.
I think that Purslow is working for his own interests, not the club. It differs from your opinion and it seems you want everyone to abide by what you think, but please, keep the personal digs close to your chest.

Maybe but Roy did intimate a little bit of frustration not so long ago when he was seemingly being kept in the dark and he was referring to Purslow being the one doing most of the talking.
There's enough out there in order to dismiss some stuffs simply as 'rumours'.

I don't think he wants to leave, but is willing to go if it means he gets regular playing time..
l feel, as I am sure many do Dani is ready for the step up and become a regular for the first team and getting a lot more playing time, it's the only way he'll develop imo..
I cannot see the club don't realise this lad is a massive talent and as such will allow him to leave because he wants to be playing more, letting him go will be a massive mistake.
I doubt even wants to playing week in week out just a lot more than 7 bit parts a season...
I also feel that when Roy gets the chance to chat with him he'll find he has a big part to play in the future of this club. Lets hope so anyway!

Sorry, but your personal digs towards our club are beginning to piss me off. I just wish that instead of slagging of persons associated to the club people would calm their tongues until the transfer window closes.
Their are two problems with the club and they happen to be the Two owners. They've proved what they are all about and there is no argument from any side to say we have benefitted from them. Slagging them off is deserved and just.
However the likes of Purslow and Broughton have been dealt a bad hand and it's their job to just get on with the job and make the best of a bad situation. I admit it appears Purslow was a bit of a cunt towards Rafa in the press, but Rafa was just as bad, if not worse in his constant ramblings to the press.
I backed Rafa all last season until the season ended, and when he failed to get that squad of players 4th in the league and qualification from a simple Champions League group I knew the writing was on the wall and his time was at an end.
When we went looking for a new manager my first choice was Louis Van Gaal, and when it came to a choice between Dalglish and Hodgson, I was firmly in the Kenny camp. But neither were to be and we ended up with Hodgson. I don't think he's a great manager, but I'm willing to back him 100% and I am prepared to admit he may do a decent job and am prepared to be suprised and admit I was wrong if he does a great job.
To cut a long story short, I'm just sick of reading all the negativity from posters who are normally positive and reasonable, and I include you amongst that list. Take my vies and comments towards you as being directed towards yourself of late, not you as a person and not the normal Fredo I am happy to read from.

I didn't see it as frustration, i saw it as Roy simply saying I've spoke to him, and now Purslow is.
Roy would have spoke to him about footballing matters and his visions of LFC on the pitch, and then Purslow would have dealt with the financial future, a part of which was allegedly Torres and image rights.
There's enough out there to see two sides of a story, without building mass hysteria based on quotes, cos quotes can be twisted to suit any purpose.

Sly digs towards people at the club is different to sly digs towards posters.
I know what you mean but hey ho, the general gist/atmosphere surrounding the club isn't that good at the moment, so I don't think we can be overly positive about things.

I don't think loaning him to a Spanish club is going to help us keep him long term, being back home in his own country/culture will make coming back to us all the more difficult, also the Spanish league has a different style to the Premiership. We should try and keep him at Anfield, put him on the bench for most games play him in the cups and in Europe. Or if we must loan him out loan him to a Premiership club where he can get experience of the Premiership.
To be honest I think that the youth level international championships are harming his chances with us. If he could have played last night and played well he could have staked a strong claim to be involved more in the first team with us and gained some experience, I think a similar thing happened last season, we had some injuries, he'd been involved in a couple of games but had to go away with Spain, when he came back players had recovered and it was more difficult for him to be involved.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
