It's a phrase you shouldn't use imoOriginally posted by redstaralex View Postoh God, here we go again, the monkeys are banging on again, and I mean sos before someone else decides to feign offence
Suprising the anti-sos feeling on here as elsewhere it has gone down well and people are suggesting that their should be more done rather than just chants, banners.Last edited by Jayesh87; 01-12-09, 09:21 PM.

Not true.Originally posted by calvoboy View PostThis is what pisses me off with SoS. DIC have been the only alternative buyer for a long while, and now they are off the radar until they get their own house in order. In the scenario that was originally posted, who on earth are they suggesting would have bought the club to produce such a scenario, given that they are now acknowledging that we dodged a bullet with DIC? Surely they are not trying to imply that Moores and Parry could have built the stadium and signed snoogy doogy themselves, as his inability to do so was the precise reason that Moores decided to sell up!
I think it's safe to say that we would all want Hicks and Gillette to be replaced with owners who have money to burn, but where are these mythical investors with a spare half billion in their back pocket? If Purslow is right, and a minority investment is on the cards that will allow us to get the stadium back on track with H&G, then I'd take that at the moment, as I can't see any saviours on the horizon.
Fiorentina, for once, is the ideal game for such a protest - there's nothing riding on it, so it doesn't matter so much if we end up distracting a bit from what happens on the pitch. But until SoS come up with a realistic set of aims, and approach to achieving them - i.e. not just "yanks out" - then they won't be getting my support.
I didnt agree with things SOS have done in the past, dont I dont see anyone else doing anything. If someone comes up with a better idea/organisation then I will support that.

Baffled at the collective ripping SOS gets on here.
They do not represent all fans, nor do they make claims they do.
I suggest people start their own interest organisation to promote their views than rip SOS.
I don't agree with everything they do, nor am I convinced that they will have influence in ALL matters, but I think they have done a lot of good things as well.
Reading this thread it looks like some of you just get an instant "**** them" reflex just by seeing the headline with SOS in it. I'd rather read what they are saying first.--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--

Their guy that got the scoop with Gillett did a post beating up on Kenny Dalglish and saying how he himself was doing much more than Kenny for Liverpool. At that point I switched off as it was apparent that they are just a bunch of sad old self-obsessed retards trying to relive the rebellion of their youth.Originally posted by tomasjj View PostBaffled at the collective ripping SOS gets on here.

Couldn't organize a piss up in a brewery and couldn't stop members uploading videos of them all singing songs celebrating the Munich air crash. The sooner they disappear the better.Last edited by BrianF80; 02-12-09, 01:56 AM.

They never did nor did they claim to unless you actually joined.Originally posted by ukfootballfan101 View Postyawn. I don't like SOS anymore, they don't represent me.
It's funny seeing the differences between forums, what seems to happen is a handful of influential members post their opinion and the masses follow until you have an large majority of a forum holding the same view, one which can be stark contrast to other forums despite being of the same topic (LFC).
There will be some shouters who say "it's got nothing to do with what Johnny 17,000 posts thinks, this is my own opinion" but have a look around at other forums and you see it happening there too.
As for SOS, they've made a lot of mistakes which for something in it's infancy is to be expected. They do however have the best interests of the club at heart. That cannot be said of the owners.
To the people who seem to be happy with the owners, wake up and look at the financial situation we are in as a club. Using the commercial changes they've made as a reason to be thankful doesn't wash, a fella running a market stall would have done a lot better than David Moores (heart in the right place, no brains) did.
Hello by the way, my first post

You're talking about dougie do'ins I assume, that's not what he posted on TLW. If I remember rightly he wanted the likes of Kenny to do something to get the message out about the current vampires we have as owners.Originally posted by BrianF80 View PostTheir guy that got the scoop with Gillett did a post beating up on Kenny Dalglish and saying how he himself was doing much more than Kenny for Liverpool. see that line there i put in bold is the big issue!Originally posted by tomasjj View PostBaffled at the collective ripping SOS gets on here.

i know they say they don't represent all fans - but i think the problem is that they come across as 'the liverpool supporters unions' and as result, anything that SOS do or say, gets labelled as all liverpool supporters. ie - i would argue that i don't agree with them nor am i supporter of them and then the counter arguement will be "thats fine but they don't represent all liverpool fans" - but i still get plenty of mates be it blue noses/mancs/any other club -collegues, lads from footie, uni friends etc etc etc - saying - "I see you lot are protesting again" etc etc when it's not - it's just a small minority
It's all very well saying - they don't claim to represent all liverpool fans - but they certainly get recognised for it. Now i understand thats not their fault as such. - but one could argue, me and a load of mates are liverpool fans and we have a group just for us called LFC LA's, are going to manchester for a night out on saturday, we are going to wear our liverpool shirts and sing about munich............ we can do it though, because we don't represent all liverpool fans - only ourselves. - Now what do you reckon the respones would be from the mancs, the media, general public - etc - they would instantly label liverpool fans as scum - despite the fact we admit to not representing all liverpool fans - even our own fans and club would disown us, but that doesn't matter, the damage has been done
my point might be a bit extreme like

Picking up on this, who's to say if DIC had come in we wouldn't be in the sh1t now, its a fair point (although it doesn't do their arguement any good!). Whilst not a huge fan of our current owners I do realise that they're not immune from the effects of the current economic conditions. We definately need investment into the club but suspect the next SOS March will be effective as the last few Marches. Which lets face it was pretty ineffectiveThis city has two great football teams – Liverpool and Liverpool reserves

So he wants Kenny to publicly slag off his own bosses?Originally posted by 7dalglish View PostYou're talking about dougie do'ins I assume, that's not what he posted on TLW.
