Kuyt has proven on many occasions that he is incapable of leading the line on his own. He can play up top but only with a partner. He doesn't have the pace or movement to trouble 2 centre halfs. Ngog will play

Didn't Carragher start out as a striker in the youth team?

Not that you'd believe it now
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Fernando Torres was today ruled out of Liverpool's visit to Blackburn Rovers despite returning to training after a groin injury.

The No.9 was back on the Melwood training pitch with his teammates this week but is not 100 per cent and won't be in the squad to face Sam Allardyce's men.

Rafa Benitez told Liverpoolfc.tv: "He has been training with the team - not full training sessions but part of them. He's doing well but he will not be ready for this game.

"He could be ready for Fiorentina. He was doing some exercises with the team and with the football but it's too soon.

"Maybe next week it will be easier."

just on ssn that he is in the squad?

strange , maybe an appearance from the bench

edit to say ssn now saying he is out.

You just know Fat Sam wouldve briefed his team to kick lumps out of Nando anyway so that he was guaranteed his reacharound off Ferguscum later.
                        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Keep Wash up there for now, while the goals are flowing. Kuyt has been on terrible goal scoring form of late. HE almost never scores when played as a striker. HE is far better off coming in to the box late, as he has more space for the shot.
If I can see this based on the tv games I have seen, why cant Rafa see that when he watches him every day. Or is it that in training he can actually hit a cows arse with a banjo, and moves at a speed faster than **** through a goose?
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

He has had a decent record when moved up fron for the latter parts of matches, possibly due to high fitness levels against tiring defenders. But from the start of the game we are relatively ineffective when he starts up on his own
