You attack the 'Rafa bashers' and then post what, in a nutshell, sums up what we are so angry about - we have been reduced to watching how ****ing Spurs and ****ing Man City do. We have gone from being Premiership contenders to being the underdogs for 4th spot. When that is happening then no way am I going to wait till the end of the season to express my anger.

I've attacked no one. I just said that to make a better judgement we may as well wait until the end - because we all know he is not going to get the sack before then. Anyone who thinks otherwise should wake up and smell the coffee. Having a go at him now and calling for his head seems a lot like cutting your nose of to spite your face to me.

And I have not resulted to seeing how Spurs and Man City do. I was merely responding to a poster who said we had lost ground to every team competing for 4th.

If you wish to live on past glories then that's fine. That's history now. Look at the present and future - the future IMO is looking very bleak under Benitez and I feel that maybe it's time we had a different manager.

erm, we never won the league. OK, we weren't far off winning it but we have heavily regressed and only a fool would not be able to see that. I'm sorry mate but the league table doesn't lie. And we're playing a style of football that even Houllier would be ashamed of.

And what do you make of the whole Aqulani affair?

Of course we are not doing as well as last year, that is obvious. But I don't think we're as far away as the table suggests at present. I just think that are squad is too weak and lacks depth. And whilst that is the case any manager who comes in will struggle to win the title without a considerable amount of good fortune.

As for Aquilani, I've made opinions quite clear on him in the Aquilani thread. I don't know how fit he is and therefore can not say whether i would risk him or not.

What's the point in winning anything if you can't point to past glories? We may as well be Man City if you're taking away our history, because our history is what makes us this massive club we support today.

Just got in from doing some chrimbo shopping so did not know any results but **** me it sounds like the same old **** again!

Boring tactics, not changing it and still having two defensive players in the middle and leaving our new £20m signing on the bench. Enough is enough someone needs to pull rafa to one side and have a strong ****ing word in his ear and i am surprised sammy lee has not yet.

If Aquilani doesn't feature in the CL game next week that will tell us all we need to know.

This is getting worse than anything under Houllier. We have gone from title contenders and possibly the best attacking team of last season to underdogs for 4th place having to watch teams like villa, and spurs FFS. Shankly will be turning in his grave.

Dreadful first half and we improved in the second, could have gone either way and a draw was a fair result.

We're too negative - and we're carrying too many players - I mean I've rarely seen a player so uninterested in trying as Riera was in the first half. Either not fit or just a bellend.

Rafa is doing himself no favours by not gambling and withdrawing one of his central destroyers for Aquilani, even if its for 15minutes at the end of the game. If you don't think he can do the defensive work, then slot Aquilani in the Gerrard position and drop Gerrard back.

Positives: Johnson looks like he's just about fully fit again. Reina is awesome. Agger and Carragher dealt with the high ball well in the main, which is a massive improvement over recent weeks.

Negatives: Tactics, which seem to consist of spoil the game in the first half and try and nick it in the second. Kuyt - garbage all season. Leaving two negative footballers in the middle for the whole game. Reira - shocking performance.

Actually rafa made a sub after 50 mins today!!!! (Ngog on for the anonomys Riera) which lead to us bossing most of the second half. But don't let the fact that you didn't watch the game at all interfere with forming an opinion
