Pepe Reina claims he 'couldn't imagine' playing for another club after four years at Anfield.

The goalkeeper is playing some of the best football of his career this season and is set to be rewarded with a new long-term deal.

He told LFC Weekly Magazine: "I can see in the city - just walking in the streets and talking to people - that there is a passion which cannot be matched in other cities in this country and around the world.

"I realise just how lucky I am to represent this club. I couldn't be happier here. My family is well settled down and my children especially feel like Liverpool is home.

"On the football side, I am 27-years-old and have many games behind me. Mentally, I feel ready to take on anything because my experiences - especially at Liverpool - have made me a lot stronger person and professional. Right now, I am at one of the best moments of my career.

"I would like to stay here a long, long time - I am certain about that. I couldn't imagine playing for another club and pulling on another shirt. The club knows how I feel about this, so hopefully there will be some developments soon. I am ready to talk."

Although, saying that, so far Torres has shown commitment and intelligence beyond his years, he talks so well about LFC, and when you consider both are foreign players that's just brilliant from them, both are players who care not for the glamourous locations of the game and instead embrace a city with a true football culture and vibe.
