Last night's game - which was worse??

So we went to Bordeaux and won.
That is by far and away the most important thing. Both teams were very poor, and I cannot stop thinking that these sort of games should be far more comfortable.....but I am not arguing...As I said a win is a win!

Back to my question, from last night's game what was the worst thing?
    - The game itself
    - The sky commentary
    - The terrible camera work, or
    - Reina being very very poor indeed?

I was so tempted to change to another game, but I guess when LFC are playing I can watch nothing else!

Reina’s confidence appears shot to pieces. He can’t even time a punch right and is missing with every one. I never thought his confidence would get so low…he always struck me as being mentally very tough and resilient. Perhaps I was wrong.

Those hideous ‘side-on’ camera angles every time the ball went into either box were extremely annoying. What was that all about?

Thought the commentary was decent – I’ve never had a problem with Ray Wilkins….at least not since he hung his boots up, the sideways-passing crab mong.

Worse than any of the above was the game itself. No wonder we get a lot of stick for being boring – this term we’ve been really ****ing dull.

Really can't see any problem with Reina's performance last night. We didn't play great, but were missing key players. We kept a clean sheet and won away from home. good result.

3 points were great but the game was pure gash as was our performance against probably the worst team in this year's Champion's League. Thank god I'm not a Bordeaux fan.

If you think Sky's commentary was bad, you didn't have to endure ESPN's farcical attempts at punditry last night.

Considering the bad start to the season weve had away from home, that first away win was always gonna be hard to get. To achieve it last night was a job well done. O.K. it wasnt pretty, but when youre confidence isnt high you`ve just got to dig in there and grind the result out, which we did, so fair play to the lads.

On a side note, it seems that i`m the only one who thought that speedy had a decent game and looked lively? I think considering he has found it harder than some players to adjust to our league, and he hasnt been getting enough football as he needs, he done very well. O.K. the final ball could and should have been better, but that can be worked on. Overall though I was impressed with his determination, and his desire to take players on.

                      I like Speedy.

Always find it hard to fully comment from TV as so much goes on away from camera.

He should get a run now IMO.

Didn't think last night was his best game but then tactics might of played a part.

In past games thought he's be a great partner for Riise, his speeds helps him track back and defend.
His corners have been miles better than Alonso's or Stevie's
He can take on players and cross.

IMO he should be our key player and needs games to be fully match fit.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Agreed mate. The only way he’ll start showing the kind of form he displayed in La Liga last season is if he gets a run of games.

The thing is, there’s no way Rafa will start him on Sunday. I’ll be staggered if he does.

As Tom said, the three points were the important thing along with an away win and the bonus of a clean sheet. This should give the lads some confidence ahead of Sunday's game.

It wasn't pretty and some of the lads once again didn't perform as they should, but we have to be happy sitting top of our group for now, and with a great chance to progress when we'll surely be performing better as the season goes on. I'm looking at the positives for now, and hope that last night's result will be the springboard for bigger and better things - we've finally won away from home and kept a clean sheet, now let that be the beginnng of better things!
