YEah, but there are 10 other players on the pitch.

I for one will give Rafa until the end of the season, regardless.

IF we finish top four, he can stay. If we dont, we can post him 2nd class to Madrid.

Most of our problems are his fault. I stand by the fact he has spent poorly for two summers He still spent close to £40m this summer. Its how it was spent.

Its also our tactics. I said from the start, Aquilani was the wrong option, as we would have to change our formation to fit him in. If todays cameo is anything to go by, we have no clue of how to play with him in the team. I think this is why Rafa hasnt played him. HE recognises that he doent fit in with the formation he prefers, and he is loath to break up the Gerrard/Torres partership (ie the only thing that seems good about the team).

It must be dawning on Rafa that the teams is fundamentally broken. The defence isnt working correctly, the midfield has the wrong balance, and the attack is Gerrard and Torres. WE cant afford a decent replacement for either, so its those two or bust...

Perhaps Rafa will turn it around. If he can get the defence and midfield to gel (not sure why its so poor when he has two midfielders sitting in front of it) and keep Torres and Gerrard fit, he may yet qualify. Although he still has the fact that he will have little to spend next summer to strengthen the team to contend with.

Personallyid like to see Torres stay, but he aint going to stay at a club that is n ot going to win the league. he was sold Liverpool by the dream of a next step up.

      where is he?

No medals Europa League nd th in the league in the UK

You have to now ask questions.

Look at the team that finished the game today.

Liverpools strongest team started the game.

Benitez has made some great signings, alonso, Maschereno, Torres but he has failed to build a team.

big questions need to be asked on this point.
We had a team last season. But we have not this, that doesn't mean we won't be able to build one from here with the players we have.

Joking apart, my point that I raise is a valid one, if you and paulc can only come back with expletives than that is really really poor and maybe I will go and f**k off.

I don't know what to do. I've backed Benitez and will continue to do so as he is our manager but that was very dissapointing.

This is a horrendus run that we're on now, if even we go an mega run to the end of the season it's only going to paper over the cracks. Very dissapointing.

Ian St John looked distraught after the game, looked like he was going to start crying. It's as painful for the ex-players as it is for us fans.

I think Rafa is seriously in the **** now.

Yeah, hindsight is a wonderful thing - but spending £17m on a right back when you have **** all money seems to me to be a crazy thing to do.

No point pointing the finger at Johnson, the whole ****ing team were pathetic. They were going to win regardless as we decided that we didn't want to win. I thought Kuyt and Benny were ****ing dog**** again and we need to buy better wide players.

And we lost hope in this season .. Roll on the World Cup I say

I remember not so long ago when Anfield was an absolute FORTRESS. Nobody dared step onto our pitch without knowing that they were about to get dominated for 90 minutes. Now we look ****ing hopeless, we have problems at almost every position bar Reina. Our defence is hopeless, i hate to say it but carra is hoof first think second which annoys me no end. dont know why gerrard bothers coming out in the media saying this and that when he doesn't leave 2nd gear in any match he plays in anymore, a blind man can see that Torres needs a decent strike partner or some decent cover, we were being carried by Benayoun at the beginning of this season and now that he is dipping in form there is nobody to produce the goals

Not pointing fingers at him per se, and I (thought I did anyways) say that the team looked piss poor, to say it was not entirely his fault. It was a pathetic performance from just about everyone.

But Johnson did make two personal errors that cost goals, regardless of how poor the entire team performance where.

It was horrid to see how little we could do against an arsenal team that offered nothing on the day, and where we should have gotten plenty of chances.
