We're good enough to come out of this rut. We need to stick together instead of letting our frustration get to our heads. This club is build on stronger values than this FFS, we're not Newcastle, Leeds or Man. Utd. We're Liverpool FC.

Man the **** up. We'll come good, it's a question of time. This season is a write off but there's still time for us to easily sort it out to come 4th.

We sat back a bit which allowed Arsenal to cling two passes together then the ball runs out in Johnson's path for a silly goal. Then our heads just dropped. It's down to the players, and highly paid ones at that, who are on the pitch at this moment in time to react, not Rafa. Rafa comes out fighting each time when he's pilloried in the press and comes out of it with his reputation intact.

The players have got to turn it around. We concede a goal, go back at it and try to win the game.
But these are highly paid players bought by Rafa and these are highly paid players that are supposed to be motivated by Rafa.

The question is, if Rafa can't motivate them is it time for him to go or should Rafa get rid of those players he can't motivate?

The problem with the second question is Rafa doesn't appear to want to get rid of those players. It appears to a lot of people, on here and other places, that Kuyt for all his hard work & running and Lucas for a few good games aren't good enough for Liverpool but yet you could bet your house on most games that these two will start even when they are not playing very well (based on form over the season so far - and sorry to pick on them as I could name a few more)

It's not as simple as that. Rafa doesn't need to motivate them, their high salaries should be enough.

everybody knows that as soon as you actually have a go at liverpool they are fragile and will concede goals. We simply cannot defend any more and its frankly embarrassing.

Nobody can blame johnson, he hasnt had a proper run of games and looks unfit. Same applies to torres who looked like he ran out of puff at half itme.

Gerrard is another matter. He doesnt look like he has the belief in the manager any more and that's worrying. His body language looked pretty poor and once you captain and star player no longer believes that the manager cant take us forward then the rest of the squad will follow soon.

Dirk and yossi were very poor today and although I dont think they deserved to win, any half decent side that actually takes us on will cause us a huge amount of trouble.

I dont think rafa made the correct decision in taking of masher (lucas should have gone instead) and we didnt get close enough to arsenal during the first 15 mins of the half.

Yet another bad day at the office and is that 11 defeats for the season in all competitions in about 20 games.

Something has to change because the club is in meltdown. Rafa can criticise souness and klinsmann all he wants but we are in serious trouble.

Hate to say it but I think Rafas countdown has begun...

This is true and the most worrying. If Wigan get at us, kick us and harass us they can leave Anfield with all 3 points. Of that I am sure. However I pray that does not happen.

Take out the 2 penalties and Shots / goal is a rather unflattering 35. If you have a second striker playing like that you will not perform. Simple as.

Hate to say it but with supporters like that, we're no longer a big club anymore.

**** the salaries, what really should be motivating them is the chance of winning the premiership, CL etc. etc.

If they can't be motivated for a game like this where we have everything to win getting back in it - then they can all **** off and find something else to do with their lives!

Yes it should but come on Pete we all know that isn't the case. It is mainly down to the manager and his staff to motivate these people. We saw a prime example of this down at the Chavs with the old Brazilian.

The overpaid .... players didn't like his style of motivating, didn't do their stuff on the pitch which got their manager sacked, got a new manager who's motivating they liked and suddenly got it together.

Oh yeah, of course. Coming second and then aiming for fourth is all in the pursuit of the big picture

in all fairness fredo i admire your don't quite say die yet attitude and your willingness to rabblerouse etc, but this statement reeks of colossal mental instability bordering on psychosis. you are a hairsbreadth away from a complete break with reality.
