I'm not wanting Rafa to be sacked but to say he's untouchable AND second to none at winning things is wide of the mark. He's cut his own cloth here - all the players are his, we can whinge and whine about a lack of money but he still decided to spend the best part of £40m on a flawed RB, an injured CM, and a decidedly average (make that poor) CB.

It pains me to say it, because I've previously thought Rafa to be the one who could turn us into the Champions however now I'm almost convinced that he ain't going to be able to turn this around.
I'm not saying he's untouchable. Just that it's a bit early and silly to call for his head and not acknowledge how far we have gone under his leadership.

I am faith he'll turn it around but I haven't got any faith with most of our supporters believing it though. As I've said, when the chips are down we should stick together, not jump at each other's throats.

Rafa played our best team today, made the right (well the popular ones) decisions during the game. It's not as if things have drastically changed as a result of this game no? That's what I call consistency and I don't understand some of you breaking ranks like that.

But when Arsenal scored today, the players should have responded. Rafa isn't kicking a ball then no? He's put Aquilani on, which some have been saying will be 'our saviour'. Then he's put on N'Gog and left Torres out on the pitch when he's clearly not sharp enough. This all in the idea 'not to piss off' the supporters, who are so knowledgeable ... He would have been booed if he had done so.
this is my point this is 99% the same team as which got 2nd place last season ........either it is the players or they have no faith in the manager

We are having bad season, some players aren't performing. That's it.

Should he sack Stevie for not preforming this season? Or Nando for missing a sitter today?

I've a sneaking admiration for the cut of your jib sir. We're having a **** season. It can, and I think it will, get better. Can't go much further downhill.

one or two player not performing ok but most of the team come on either blame the team or the manager as he is the one who should be geeing them up ......aren' they listening to him ? no ? then why not

maybe it's just me, I thought we played quite well, as we did against Fiorentina. The team tired in the second half, not surprising as alot of them have just come back from injury.

Sacking the manager will only make things worse - teams that sack their managers don't win things (unless you've got a billionaire's wallet). This is the time when you're supposed to be a "supporter", I've got a long enough memory to have been through this before, we've got no God given right to win everything.

Sure, I agree with that - it's the managers job to tell the players what to do, and how to close the game. But it's not the same as motivation if you get me? The players should be plenty motivated by the chance of winning the game and getting back in to the top of the league.

It's just to separate things for me, and if the players aren't motivated then it's something beyond the manager, then it's time for the players to do something else.

So we were a 1 man team last season.

And we sold him to RM.
